Just as we’ve been outspoken about what we don’t like from big software corporations, we should also support efforts like Blender. Consider this: if Blender becomes increasingly profitable, it’s only a matter of time before other companies start paying attention to what we value. My donation is a way for me to advocate for what I want to see more of in the industry.

@whothewho82Ай бұрын

@RareAmv29 күн бұрын
Perhaps I misunderstood, but the even better bigger greater part of generating more money is that they HAVE to spend it, because since as mentioned in the beginning, blender is a 'stichting', closely translated to a foundation. That means by law they are not 'allowed' to make a profit so they have to report break-even numbers for their turn-over. So that can only mean that money coming in, has to go out, and thus they not only can, but will have to hire more developers or pay them more and thus are able to implement and create new features, improve the software or fix issues quicker the more money comes in. Thus in short, your money spend will not go into pockets of people. Your money spend directly translates to improvement to blender!

Proud Gold tier member for a bit over a year now. Funny to think how i would never ever give adobe a dime but i will gladly shill out money for Blender. The blender dev team just works so closely with the community and actually listens to it, which makes all the difference for me. My plan is, to use it in a story quest in a game, where I need to create some characters, which do not exist there yet. Users: You are are missing a great detail here: Never underestimate your value and never stop appreciating the value of the work of others. Start giving, it creates a lot of satisfaction and joy. Try it.

It is a remarkable piece of software. Probably the biggest challenge I have had and I am not even a year into it. Well I am too old to think about 5 years from now but with steady commitment I feel I have managed to become a reasonably decent hard surface modeler. Downloaded 4.3 the other day and decided to become a monthly contributor because Blender is now just a part of my life. I come from a cad background but in the past month I have opted to use Blender every time I want to model an idea in my head. With Cad Transform I can get pretty good precision. Be nice to have a sketcher and a full set of constraints but really I am not sure I would use them in Blender. When I take my models to the shop they are so engrained in my head that I just check Blender here and there for some dimension. If it gets complicated and I want to build parametric I just go to FreeCad. Blender is just plain fun once you get the paradigm shift.

So once i secure my bills i will definitely subscribe back. disappearance of the tool, like blender would be huge loss for the industry and for humanity. I really hate paying monopolies like Adobe, so being able to pay Blender on my own decision was something that actually brought me a joy. I hope that more people will see the value of freedom that Blender gives.

Please let's donate to blender, they are an amazing crew, and they are giving us such a robust software for free. Let's support them now that they need us.

So many people are always asking for features to be added, or just change this, change that... Do they expect the devs to just do all that for free? They have families to feed as well. Let's keep blender going strong!

When I bought my first laptop, I immediately downloaded blender for my game development journey. I learned alot from it, and still learning. Currently our country doesnt support international payment services which is a sad part for us . But will sure in Future❤
