Followed Blender Guru's famous tutorial donut and as I went through I just followed the steps, felt super overwhelmed, and almost learned nothing. Perhaps this is my fault for not having that kind of learning style. Stumbled across this series and am absolutely loving being able to do my own thing and experiment with the knowledge you give. As soon as I saw you delete a single vertice I audibly gasped and said to myself "That's how you can make interiors and stuff!". That was such a massive knowledge gap to learn for me and I loved that feeling. Thank you so much for the series and taking your time to make videos like these so others don't have to stumble in the dark. 👏

I'm just stopping to say thank you and realize in what kind of time we live. We have cutting edge and powerful tools literally for free to do whatever we want with it from home, and then these kind of tutorials make it so accessible. I love the way you explain things slowly and mostly the fact you don't just show where a button is, but actually explain the concepts and thought process behind actions.

Can we please get a supercut of all those supercute intro animations?

Absolutely loving these tutorials. I've worked in 3D before in softwares like Sketchup but Blender just feels so much more intuitive and your videos are making it super easy to follow!

I definitely learned some helpful stuff in this video. Did some super low-poly modeling for a game project (which didn't get finished but I did finish my modeling) and learned quite a bit going through that process, but there were some nuggets of wisdom in this video that I wish I'd known at that point in time. Looking forward to watching the rest of the videos in this series. I also really appreciated the explanation of which objects should be separate. That was something I felt very insecure about when I was doing the modeling for that project.

Thank you, I'm glad it's been helpful even though you're well past the first steps!

Part 8 Mesh components and object origins Revision and use of previous lessons Deletion of object, vertex, face or edge While using edit mode- from header use mesh mode and choose separate. Also, while using object mode select the object- set origin- origin to geometry Shortkeys ✅ Ctrl L for select and link Ctrl J for Join

Working with Pivot in Blender is true disaster is very inconvenient in others software like Maya, Cinema 4D, 3D Max or Softimage this is very easy to use.

How do I clear transformations after editing in edit mode? Is there a way to do that or should we stick to Cntrl+z

So join its like "group"? I want to group meshes but i guess i can only parent stuff. Or i can just group somehow?
@jonlampel11 ай бұрын
Sort of... there's no direct correlation with grouping in other apps. What you want is probably a combo of parenting and collections. You can skip ahead to episode 11 for that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ioKuhqqQpsqtfdUsi=FjxXuDl-z5jGv_4Z

@@jonlampeli just want like max, to groupo to avoid selecting something by mistake. I use colecctions but the objects are still independent. I will check the other video thanks

Great videos.. Please we want a detailed tutorial on how to render animation without noise 😢
@seriouslycoolful11 ай бұрын
I have some quick suggestions: 1. Render tab > Sampling > Render > Increase 'Max Samples' number 2. Render tab > Sampling > Render > Enable denoise 2. Render tab > Light Paths > Max Bounces > Reduce 'total' number
