FAQ - Hey, so I am going to put answers for new of the frequently asked questions and problems users faced during this session. 1. I don't see a 'Ray Visibility' option for the environment, What should I do? Well answer to this one is, you probably missed a step where we switched the render engine to Cycles from Eevee. So, switch to cycles if you need ray visibility. 2. I can' see HDRI shadows or My Hdr lighting effect looks different, or -there are no hard shadows. What am I doing wrong? Again, the answer is quite similar to the previous one, The effect of HDRI in cycles vs Eevee is different. So chances are you are probably trying HDRI in Eevee and expecting the same results as cycles. If not that, then the problem is with the HDRI, which Means the HDRI needs to have a strong light source, else you won't get hard shadows. So choose an HDRI with hard bright sunlight. We discussed this subject in detail during Day 5 session - 'Lighting'. so for now don't worry about it too much, this topic is covered in detail in chapter 5. ( Watch Playlist) 3. I can't find the 'separate' option in the search menu, where do I find it? Well, previously separate options used to be available on object mode as well. But now if you want to separate objects, then you need to go to edit mode and then search separate in your search menu or access it from the menu or you can use hotkey 'P'. Also, keep in mind there are 3 options in separate 1. selection 2. Material 3 Loose Parts. So if you need to separate via selection then you need to be in edit mode. If you want to separate using loose parts then you can do that on object mode as well. 4. I can't find the search menu on the space bar, what should I do? Again, You missed a section where we changed the settings in preferences. By default search is on f3. 5. How do you use modifiers, lights, etc? I can't believe I am answering this, This is 7-day series and you are on day 1 chapter. All those topics are discussed in later chapters. Please check the playlist section. 6. I am using the latest version of blender, is this tutorial still relevant? Yes, you can follow this series with any version of the blender after 2.80. The interface is still the same. 7. I have a problem with the blender, give me your number, can I call you? 🤦♂️ in short, don't skip the video. If you do, you going to miss out on steps, and things won't make sense later. Also if you have a problem, then chances are that is already answered in comment section, you can press ctrl+f to find and type out word related to your problem and read out comments. 8.One more point to add that if anyone finding difficult to add the environment texture, the icon just moved from right to left side. Animate property is the right button, Use the yellow button at the left to select Environment texture option (Blender 3.3.1) Still stuck? here is discord link to discuss it with fellow beginners discord.gg/UxMtntNN CrossMind Studio Reply off you go now, Noobs 😑

For anyone stuck on snapping part just like I was... Here's the process :- You select the object then turn on the magnet icon choose vertex or face and then press G.. and here's the most important part , You have to place the cursor on the Vertex or face of the object you want your selected object to snap to, A circle will appear & it'll get snapped and don't try to match their vertex thinking they'd snap coz this way it'll never get snapped. Bonus : As the video told, Turning on magnet or holding Ctrl key does the same thing but don't select magnet and then press ctrl because this will turn off the magnet.

Love it when people understand that to learn about something like this we need to start with the ACTUAL basics. I've seen videos out there on "blender basic tutorial" that go into absurdly advanced topics, but leave behind stuff as basic as selections. I've had a basic introduction to autocad and was replicating industrial machine parts from schematics in a couple of hours with just basic commands, and I think I can do pretty interesting stuff with just the basics in Blender, so thank you very much for this.

I’ve been looking for a video that’s not rushed and gives clear details. Lots of videos on blender have the title like “all you need to know if a blender in 20 minutes” but thank you for making this video and not skipping over any details.

I had no idea what 3d rendering was till a month ago, I just knew I felt like constructing things and making online art and scenery, so I downloaded it, picked a random tutorial, and still am not fully sure what it's about, but it's so fun to learn and you set me off on a great start! After I learn all the basics from all your tutorials, I will learn everything there is to learn, and see where I go from there :) Finally I found something i can just throw myself into and enjoy seeing my imagination come to life, and you are a blessing for me, to start from the absolute beginning, and no experience in any kind of art. Thanks a lot :)

This is actually the correct way of the learning process of any software. U just give a basic hold of the basic stuff to the people & let them do their thing. That's how people learn better. Experimentation, trial & error. Instead of making a single donut for like 17 days. I don't intend to demean anyone but that's just unreasonable. Basically for a whole 2 weeks u can't even let anyone know that you've started learning blender bcuz u don't know how to render out a proper image file so that u can share it. THIS is a much better process for the whole learning from scratch curve.

Day 1 under my belt. I gotta say this is by far the best tutorial on Blender that I have come across. I like the way you keep everything simple and on a need to know basis. This develops a lot of confidence in the learner to tackle more serious stuff later. Also I think you have great aesthetics. Even the stuff you are making in practice looks great and inculcates the value of good design. My salute and respect to you sir!
