You created the bill of the duck and the feet using a "Plane" surface and increased the thickness?

Yes. I just use the solidify modifier on a plane to add thickness. Doing it this way makes it easier to make the proper shape.

@@BrianForrest1974 Unfortunately not at this moment , but I am considering uploading slower versions of future character videos seeing as more and more people are showing interest.

Why do you merge everything at the centre in the start?

Basically, when I scale the cube down to 0, the 8 vertices of the cube still exist. I merge them so that when I do the skin operation, there is only 1 vertex rather than 8.

ah right okay i think i understand you keep the cube look but then literally draw out his body instead of molding it
