This is something that I think I'll focus on next year. So far for this year the plan is a really advanced procedural texturing course which I've already begun work on, and then I might start on a new vehicle course by the end of the year. Then after that one I think I'll spend a good part of next year working on an Archi-Viz course.

In the Properties Editor, go to the Active Tool settings right above the Render Properties. In these options, enable Affect Only Origins. Then with the object selected you can press R and rotate the origin only, without affecting the object.

Chris, I don’t understand, why do you need to spend time with newbies at your level? Is there really no one else? True, after the Corvette, I haven't modeled a single car myself))
@blengine
@blengine 3 жыл бұрын
There are droves of people downloading Blender for the first time (far more than ever) because of it's development and growing use in the industries. I've always promoted Blender and tried to make the best training in order to give people a thorough understanding of the software so that they could use it effectively, which in turn promotes the software further and helps it continue to grow. A well taught community of users is the best advertisement for it. That's my goal especially with my latest courses, and it's specifically why I'm targeting Udemy with beginner courses because I believe the majority of Blender courses on there aren't nearly as effective as they could be at clicking with people and giving them a solid foundation in learning it. Given that there are over a million Blender users on Udemy, it's a popular platform for people getting interested in Blender for the first time, so I just felt like it's where I should be right now and that getting a couple simpler courses out was the right call. These types of courses also help fund the time I need for the more complex courses as well.
@vincentv2119

I don't get that, you've made the blender encyclopedia that covers the basics and servers as an introduction to the 3d package www.udemy.com/course/the-blender-encyclopedia/ so why make another beginner course? This is the point in which we should get a specialized animation course like the animation primer, a full grease pencil course or a whole new modeling course like one of the car ones.
@blengine
@blengine 3 жыл бұрын
Ah the encyclopedia didn't hit the mark for many total beginners. The pace and the reference guide format didn't click with a lot of people completely new to the software. And because droves of people are starting to learn blender I wanted a course designed a certain way to give them the best starting point possible that would click with anyone. Now I'll move on to more complex training.
@Relivino
