I remember as a kid, I will always dream of having a 3d software that i could use to create 3d worlds, animations and simulations. I had to result to using trial versions of 3Ds Max and always reinstalling again and again. I always heard about Blender but didn't think it will go far. And when 2.8 was release I decided to make the bold step of learning and boy, I wish I had started earlier.

And in Russia, no one worries, all design studios work on pirated versions in 3 ds max, not just freelancers, also Vray and Corona, I've been in Blender for a long time and don't understand these people, firstly Blender is cooler, and secondly disgusting on the pirated version, but this is the bond of the Russian soul, to steal. @ChrisKGallon
@ChrisKGallon 2 жыл бұрын
@@kangtheconqueror8359 Here's the thing; there are typically 2 roads. Some prefer to use Blender (because it is a complete suite of every software) to springboard into an 'industry standard'. The other road is to keep using Blender because it is now competitive and even excels where "industry standards" can't. I used to think that Blender wasn't industry standard, until I heard that Blender is used in Marvel, the majority of video game development, TV, VR, and the movie Next Gen (on Netflix) was entirely done in Blender's Eevee. Blender was also used in Captain America: The Winter soldier for the shuttle collision scene as it was faster, more accurate and have better compositing than the custom tookit they were using at the time. It's also used by Marvel for branding as it does really smooth motion graphics; KZbin "I used Blender at Marvel and it changed my life". So you could do either route, but here is my suggestion - use Blender until you can't use it anymore. I currently make almost 6 figures in just branding using both Blender and Illustrator for both 2D/3D animation and compositing. Your only obstacles are believing you deserve it, and doing the work necessary to become the 3D/2D Artist YOU want to be. After that, the world is yours.

The community is helpful and open. There's no looking down at other software and everyone seems ready to help. Just look at the creators on youtube that are eager to show you how to use Blender! I think that when a new innovation comes out, such as motion capture or effects simulations, the natural first thought for many is "can I import this into Blender?" and the answer is usually "yes", or "soon".

I was there when 2.4 came out and I was following the development of Elephants Dream. So I guess that's since 2006. Blender has come a long way, but became one of the most beautiful software to use and the most beautiful community any software company could dream of.

I have been using Blender for 3 years now. I have been developing video games for 5 years. I have tried using many 3D modelling and developing tools like C4D etc. But damn, the ease of access that Blender offers is unmatched. Thank you so much Blender!
