Looking forward to the rest 2 videos/episodes, almost done with this, although i encountered some problems like grass was on the wrong side of the ground/walls. Managed to fix by calculating normals or by changing the position of the particle system in the materials menu.

If your grass particles aren't being affected by hair shape settings, in your Eevee render settings got to curves > viewport display > and change the shape to 'strip'. This is as of blender 3.5

Could you give a tutorial on how we can bake these into textures? Whenever I try to bake my various toon materials, it comes out mono-colored and loses that Color Ramp property with multi-colors. Love the series!

Hey, when I weightpaint my grassbaldes show up on the correct side but when I go to object mode they flip tp the wrong side, any idea why this could be happening? Thanks in advance.

Hmmmm.Not sure, you could try rotating your grass object 180 in the meantime?

@@TipTut hey, thanks for the tip. It was apparently caused by the solidify modifier, was fixed after I tinkered with the solidify modifier a bit :)

My grass grew from the bottom. any idea why that happened?

I am loving following along, but I hit a snag, very quickly lol. My grass is apparently upside down, I rotate my grassy mesh, and it puts the particles right side up, but when i add the diameter to the root, it does nothing?? I have no idea how I jacked up something in the first 2 minutes! haha. I can add the children and do everything else, but the diameter root thing is not adding any thickness.

Make sure your solidify modifier is above your particle system in the modifier stack.

Move it above your solidify modifier in the stack.
