@Hollowpixel This was an absolute little gem!! As a minute change to the method, I suppose you could also create a plane and subdivide it according to the number of grid sections, then maybe use shrinkwrap and snap to those faces (if that's possible) or otherwise poke the faces to get verts at their center points, then delete the extraneous verts (edges around the actual verts). That way you'd get more exact locations for the selector-thingamajig? I was actually looking for a method to have shrinkwrapped Grease Pencil mouth strokes become flat ... as in not protruding from the face mesh. Is that even possible?
