Just an FYI... the one you are calling a hand-blender is actually called a submersion blender. They are fantastic, and I thought I'd mention that in case anyone goes looking for one.

Price doesn't always matter i had a $20. Blender that lasted for 5 years before it broke now i have a $200. Blender i bought 10 months ago & needs to be replaced already.

I bought a Vitamix 3 years ago and it has been completely worth the cost! I mostly use it to make hummus, soup, smoothies, or sauces (most recent sauce was for pasta and i made it with spinach, hemp milk, nutritional yeast, garlic, and onion. Delicious! :D). Can't imagine having to tackle daily food prep without it! :)

Have a KitchenAid blender. I use a pint size Mason jar like with your small Magic Bullet. A nice $10 coffee grinder can be used for grinding spices as well as nuts. VitaMix may cost $400+ but its literally a great investment because its a blender,grinder,processor,mixer, bread dough maker,juicer all in one which is great for someone with a small kitchen. Also ask oneself how much would six separate appliances cost? Kitchen tools are an investment. Also love an immersion blender.

I use a Vitamix and I love it so so much. I use it several times a day, starting with a huge green smoothie for breakfast, then sauces, dips, ice cream (which can easily be made raw and sugar-free), soups, vegan almond parmesan, etc... best investment ever!

Magic bullet is not good at all. I had 2, both of the blender bottom which is made of plastic, were burned - smell of plastic- so it is NOT a good blender at all. I was watching this video hoping that someone who actually used different blend with some knowledge could help me to buy much smarter idea of buying 'food processor and blender'
