I was scratching my head in confusion trying to figure out exactly how this would be useful in AE or Blender. I have both the Adobe suite with AE (used AE for years and love it) and have been up to my eyeballs in Blender training. My brain is throbbing with new Blender skills like those aliens from star trek who kidnapped captain Pike (The original series of course). I was trying to think of why this would be so dang cool then it hit me like a bolt of lightening! At first I couldn't see the forest for the trees. I kept thinking "Who needs this addon, this could be done with just AE and Blender output, who needs all that object... location... nulls... and... the... oh lord... the camera.... data... export!!!!!????? GOOD GOLLY! Okay I understand now!"

I was wondering what the difference between this addon and the already freely available script that can import your blender scene as nulls and cameras would be. The built in link looks really nice, plus the precomped planes looks like a great feature. Very intersted in this addon!

Can anyone explain why you would export the shapes into after effects? What are the benefits of having everything in after effects instead of blender? Just so you don't have to prerender everything out or? :P

Just tried out the Trial version & somehow animated empties do not work properly.. the exported keyframes stop just after few frames.. also can the empties rotation & scaling data can be exported as well??

Can you export Objects as well or just planes?

You can export planar faces into shape layers (eg. select all the faces of a cube)
