Well this video was uploaded 8 years ago so they probably didn't have those AI interpolation software we have now; the movie itself was made in 2008 and more likely that they just re-rendered it in 60fps and then uploaded as is (around the time KZbin started accepting 60fps vids). If they animated it originally at 24 or 30 fps, they just have to use their built-in time adjustments to change it to 60 and let the program interpolate itself. It's a relatively straight forward process, not difficult but does take more time to render.

When i was a kid, I remember i bought this cd and was so excited to watch it. I used my neighbour’s cd player because we disnt have any. And when i played it, it would always pause at the beginning and never ply again. I didnt even know it was only 10 min, thought it was a whole movie coz i bought it from street. It made me quite sad and now bout to watch this at the comfort of my own bed, in my phone. Sometimes we forget to be grateful. The things we have now, are the things that one day we wished to have. Me and my little brother used to watch this constantly on this old mp3 player we had, and we even learned the montage music on the piano because it was so fun and catchy. Great film and the bun bun is so sweet and clever. This is how my bunny Csicsi looked like before, a wild cottontail rabbit is always looking more skinny and has longer limbs (not that long as hares) but Csicsi ate a lot and he couldn't jump or get up really good on the stairs and couldn't even clean himself. new TV's can actually create the impression of it and I don't think it's that awesome it feels weird at first and then you don't even notice it

dligac That's because the in between frames are created on the fly. And they are very low res, smeary looking. It distorts the image a bit. Especially the edges of objects. True 60 fps looks far better than what those TVs do artificially.

Ignoring the fact that we've been conditioned for decades to perceive 60fps as uncinematic, cheap, and uncool, the [post]production implications of moving up to 60p are quite numerous: 1) You have to render twice and a half as many frames as you would for a traditional 24fps production. (Same goes for simulations.) 2) Multiply by 2.5 the amount of workload for VFX shots combining live action with CGI that require manual match-moving, rotoscoping, wire removal, cleanup, etc. 3) Need to shoot a slo-mo fight sequence for a 60p production, where the action is slowed down to half the speed? Well, get a camera that can crank up to 120fps, whereas for a 24fps movie, a camera running at 48fps would suffice for slo-mo shots. 4) Many, other things...

I remember seeing this short years ago in loops on one of the screens in the museum of technology in Vienna. I can't even tell anymore what exhibition part it even was - like, did they just want to show something about the screen and this movie was just randomly chosen, or maybe it was about showing an animation technology, or something else. At any rate I stuck around at that screen for ten minutes longer than I intended to because I wanted to see the entire bunny film.
