Thank you for the tutorial! I have a quick question, on 4:55 when using the harmonic, how do you make the particles stay in the plane? Did you create a second plane and converted it into a rigid body or did you do that directly on the particle plane?
@PoMkAc278 ай бұрын
Particles are clinging to text surface. They will stay there if Damping is 1. Text should be a mesh with Force field Harmonic

Thank you for this video. SO helpful. Could you update it if you find Blender 4.3 has more and new Force Fields? If you do, would you please add how to make shapes of particle's follow a path? Like a thick twin size bed sheet with small sand like particles going around an object like a cylinder. It would be similar to the Curve Force Field I suppose. Would you please make a detailed tutorial about fluids? You are quite good at this. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this video. I have been going crazy looking for something like it. Thank you again.

6:27: just fyi, the RGB and Curl modes require an RGB texture, otherwise they default back to Gradient -- so bc you're using the B&W wood texture, they'll all do the same thing. if you try using an RGB noise texture, for example, you'll see different effects. Midge Sinnaeve gives a pretty in-depth explanation of how the different options work in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rWnNgHWIgtGUirc

Is it possible for the texture force field to correspond to different fields? So rather than the colours corresponding to where the particles go, they could correspond to electric or magnetic filed strength, similar to a magnetogram of the sun?

Thank you very much for the tutorial. If you have time for a question, I was playing with an explosion tutorial using a force object and a force field and saw that my simulation stopped at frame 240. I was wondering if this is normal or if there was a way to extend the simulation past this end-point. Note: I am finally taking the time to switch from Lightwave 3D to Blender, so I am still learning at this point. Thank you

I am wondering if you can help me with this, all the tutorials i can find have been about particle systems with charges on them but nothing much about rigid bodies with forces (charges), so here I have made 2 rigid body spheres (A & B ) added charges , have set a charge strength of 10 on A and -10 on B they just fall there is no attraction (tried setting both to 10)
@JoseWolff2 жыл бұрын

Could you explain the physics tab in Blender to me? I tried to read the documentation, but some of the words were too difficult for me to understand. Some words couldn’t even be translated into my language using Google. I don’t understand what ‘collision’, ‘rigid body’, or ‘soft body’ mean, among other things. After watching a video, I feel that I understand the ‘force field’ tab much better than when I was reading the Blender documentation
