FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO CANNOT GET THE FLUID TO TURN BLUE AT 3:15 1. Change from wireframe mode to viewport shading 2. Hide the cube and outer sphere 3. Check where you "deleted" the vertex at the top of the sphere containing the liquid for me there was a false face still generated in this area. If you cannot see through the space into the sphere then click on the face and hit 'X' then select 'delete face'

For me it was the frame being at 0 and when i moved to 1 the liquid appeared. Hopefully this helps someone.

If you use blender 2.83 you dont need to have a hole in the effector object. ie. the ball can roll around with fluid in it without leaking. For some reason 2.90 onwards wont do this-no fluid will appear in a sealed effector.

Does the normals being flipped effect the material at all? I ask because I noticed when making a glass I some how flipped my normals and it looked off, after asking around, I checked and flipped them back and it actually affected the look a bit. Which I did not expect to work with the material being clear

I made this tutorial and even in your video the liquid part since its made with a small ico sphere look more like sands and the liquid look pixalated. Is cranking up the resolution would help to remove that effect?? or to make liquid look like liquid its a total different process?

Hey ! Saw a lot of your tutorials and it seems like you have a lot of experience with fluid simulations ! I wanna know, how would you achieve a "blocky" smoke simulation ? Something close to the "Cubic" Viewport Display. There is no mention of this anywhere and you are my last chance, do you know how this could be achieved ?
@BlenderMadeEasy
@BlenderMadeEasy 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there, fortunately yes I do know how to achieve that look. I've created a tutorial with the basic process. After you have converted it to a mesh just add the Remesh Modifier on top of it all and set the mode to Blocks and that will give you the cubic look. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aoKwpouHfcRokKM

In Edit Mode, if you press the Mesh Edit Mode button on the "right side" of the Show overlay button, you will find the Normals option as the second item from the bottom. It functions just like in the tutorial.
