Quick question, how are you sculpting with symmetry for the second method using a metaball? Also, how are you seeing both sides in sculpt mode? I'm following your steps but when I start sculpting, the model isn't symmetrical.

Oh now i remember i was going to trace a path with dynamic paint. Can you animate drawing with grease pencil? Is that built in?

Hi Jan when is the next update due, also which Blender version did you use I am using v3.3.0
@BlenderSecrets2 жыл бұрын
This video was done with Blender 3.3. The next book update will be later this year, definitely not before november. That's because I'm currently working on a video course. As soon as that's done, it's full-time book & Blender Secrets again! That should be in a month or two. I'm just working full-time on the course for a while because I noticed it was hard for me to focus on both things. I want to give each my full attention. In the meantime there are still some new long(ish) videos like this one planned.

we really do need a better base mesh creation system . I tried basically the same method with bone to mesh but it had so many small bugs that it made it a choir of a workflow. We need a bone system that can has built in skin and handles to expand and shrink areas of it, just like zbrush.
@BlenderSecrets2 жыл бұрын
That would be nice. The Zspheres system is really good.

@@BlenderSecrets I really like it. An unusual style I've not seen before. I've been watching these Blender Secrets for years, from when I knew next to nothing about Blender to today where I work full time in Blender, 8+ hours a day, and I still learn new tricks, tips, whole methods even. The content often inspires me to tackle a new subject with a new technique.

@blenderSecrets I didn't tackle sculpting because I always thought it was hard to get into and do. Now watching these videos, I'm seeing that sculpting is made easy with the e-book. Glad I purchased it a while back. And the updates, let me know that I'll keep learning every new update. Keep up the good work. And, Happy New Year!
