Here's a better way: loop tool 20x, displacment modifier + image texture, draw your terrain in black & white. Be sure to close the veiwport while drawing (it updates everytime frame you draw), or else it will lag like crazy if you have to many verts.

Arguable. Since using procedural generation, that usually needs refining anyway, is far easier than being able to make landscapes on your own. So taking the easy way out instead of developing your skills is more of a pleb move

yeah, because using a completely valid and overall better option that allows for more control over what you are making makes you a "pleb"

You use the little pop up window that shows up in the bottom left of the 3d viewport. Just play around a bit with those. You'll start to get the hang of it

That's true in any case, you just need to be aware about what your pc can handle and work within those parameters. If the starting mesh has enough geometry, then subdividing wouldn't do much anyway. You can just smooth the mesh that's already there.

All these add-ons are built into blender. And since some people don't use certain add-ons, it would just be pointless to have them all on by default. Since it would just make the program take that many more resources.

"Don't do that, do that" videos must be the stupidest thing ever. No one cares HOW you made it. The only thing that matters is the result. If you love doing it with sculpting, do it with sculpting. If you love using add-ons, use add-ons.
