In this tip video I show you how I build up the layers in coloured pencil, going from light to dark and then blending with 'Zest it' pencil blend in between layers to create a more painterly look and to get rid of the graininess of the paper. Solvent is also a great tool to use when working in coloured pencil as once it's dry, you can then add lighter colours over dark, which is usually difficult to do in coloured pencil.
