Thanks! I believe it’s necessary for all techs to learn how to blend. The techniques used by blending help me in almost every other area of PDR also.

Looks amazing honestly blending crowns help metal molecules to go back to original shape they do it with shock or heat ,so if there’s a soft low,hot box will help with pulling low out.

For those who aren't technicians and find this video down the road PLEASE note this is a very skilled, top level in the world PDR techs. Always remember you don't need a tool to fix your own car dents you really need a professional. Skill like this takes years to learn and hours upon hours of practice (on practice panels). Shane Jacks is one of the best. If your looking into getting into paintless dent repair please find a trainer and let them choose your tools. They will suggest tools from many top level manufacturers. Remember Trainer > Tools > practice > more trainer > entry level lot work.. it's a process that almost every top level tech has gone through. Best of luck to anyone entering PDR and also to those who are looking to up their level of expertise.

Essentially making a low spot, instead of removing dent?

Yes....and no. The vibrations cause much of the debt to move out, but the blending part is doing exactly as you say. If you are in the Pdr industry and doubtful of the results, join the crowd. I’ve been doubted for years, it’s nothing new to me. You’d have to look really hard to find this spot even if you’re a dent tech. If you’re a body tech, it’s waaaay less noticeable than 99% of body tech work out there and no trash in paint. Most of all, no repaint! Saves Factory finish.

Imo he is making the dent larger, but shallower (like spreading the depth of the metal into a larger area), so it kinda fades out, which makes it hard to see for the unarmed eye. Again, this is strictly my opinion.

Nice job, although I think dabbing white toothpaste on the dent and flicking cigarette ashes on it is faster 🤣
