I've been suffering with Blepharitis for 3 months now and honestly I never thought I'd be able to wear eye makeup again until I saw your channel. As someone who loves a bold, colourful eye look I was totally lost and had to idea how to put a nice makeup look together without going ham on my eyes. My eyes are feeling better these days, so I'm bringing subtle eyeshadow back, but I'm still too scared to try mascara again. I have been looking at the magnetic lashes too, but think the price of them is ridiculous. I'm going to wait and see if the price goes down before trying them myself. xx

I'm so glad it's helped! :) Yeah they really, I noticed that Ardell have released some. I might give them a go, seeing as they're quite a well known lash company anyway! xx

I've just googled them, the Ardell ones are only £13.99!

I have a huge eye makeup collection so this is the worst thing that has happened to me :( thanks for sharing this because I want to know what I can safely wear after my eyes are normal again. It’s not make ups fault, I work in an environment with lots of particulate matter and allergens in the air, the use of cosmetics didn’t help, though. sucks

Thanks for this video, I am having the first flair up in over a year. I think its down to my gel liner, it was collecting along the lashes and incredibly hard to get off. Mascara life is usually three months after being opened, they list it as 6 months but once its opened you're pushing air into it every time you use it (dipping the wand) Just wanted to share. x

Hey eve good to see you once again tonight. Have to say you have wonderful Clear skin and no sign of blepharitis on your eyes or lids... I have roscea on My face which I've read may not help the blepharitis at all.. Will be seeing my consultant in March so will try to get bit sense about it from him. As far as makeup concerned I use avons fair concealer under my eyes and then on both lids, Primark mascara and only for about six weeks then chuck it, use avons soft vanilla single eyeshadow as base then Revolutions reloaded basic mattes on the top of that, use revs fastbase stick foundation In F4 and Laura gellars balance and brighten as a finishing powder... Take care my lovely Paula x

Did you end up trying magnetic lashes out? I know this is an older video but I've had this condition now and then but its been 3 weeks non stop and i'm so sad!
@codename_eve4 жыл бұрын
Yes I did! And I quite like them! I did end up cutting mine down though so they were more like individual lashes for the outer corners 😊 I have the ardell ones!
@Blendbyhan4 жыл бұрын
Eve Eyre so they didn’t irritate your eyes at all? I’ve got blepharitis but my lash line looks like it been burnt off! It’s a red line and looks like it’s scared! Did you have any of those symptoms! (I went to doctors and they just put me on strong antihistamines for 2 weeks and I still have the same problem)
@codename_eve4 жыл бұрын
No they didn’t irritate my eyes at all! I did used to get a lot of redness in & around my eyes but I wasn’t limited to just the lash line. If it is Blepharitis then those antihistamines won’t do much. I’d recommend going to see a specialist eye doctor, a lot of GPs don’t even know what it is so they struggle to provide correct treatment/ management.
@Blendbyhan4 жыл бұрын
Eve Eyre Thankyou! I got some bits from boots for blepharitis like a foam was and a gel one aswell to soothe it! I’m not too sure if I can see them right now because of lockdown and social distancing, I’ve had 2 video appointments with the doctors and they don’t give me much info and I explain everything in detail☹️ so frustrating, woke up with inflamed eyes again and this has been almost a month so I can’t remember how my eyes looked before really xxx
@savannah138 Жыл бұрын
@Hannah Wills I see this is an old comment so hopefully you figured out a routine to manage your symptoms but incase you haven't ill share what works for me . I use Ocusoft eye wipes in the light blue box , it says no rinse but I rinse it off anyways with bottle spring water ( tap water can worsen it) and gently dry. I do that every morning before eye drops ( I use prp drops) I avoid anything with fragrance or scent even if it's natural, my wash cloths and other laundry items are washed fragrance free as well . Makes a huge difference in preventing flare ups. Sometimes less is more when it comes to lid washes as well. I had a handful of items recommended by my Dr and it ended up being more irritating, just to many products . Keeping it simple helps.

Nope! Dont do it!!! I got blepharitis from magnetic eyeliner!!!! It goes through 2 layers of skin!!
@Amy-qs2wt3 жыл бұрын
@@SusieSynth A year late but in case you don't already know, there's a version where the lash band basically have magnets in them, usually small 3 rectangles. One lash would be two magnetic lashes layered together with your natural lash in between them (one magnetic lash on top of your natural lash, then another one under your natural lash and it will naturally stick together). That way you don't have to put any chemicals on your lids or lashes, you're just gonna cover them up with falsies. It is hard to apply though, when done manually with fingers it can be hard to line up, but when done with tweezers where you stick the lashes on both ends and line it up to your lash, sometimes it just sticks to the tweezer instead and you can't get it off.

Blepharitis AND meibomitis equals basically no eye makeup ever except when I have to be on camera and need eye definition and feel like risking a chalazion. Anybody who gives someone a hard time for not wearing eye makeup clearly has no idea what a bacteria farm most eye products and applicators are. If the general population were to have the burning, watering eyes OR get chalazia from wearing mascara for six hours, maybe they'd appreciate what happens when one has old people eyelids. ;/ I haven't been able to wear the slightly winged eyeliner I used to love for over 20 years now; so long that that wouldn't look right on me anymore anyways. :-o
