I just got the same procedure. Ive been worried about the swelling and bruising. And with your journey I am relieved. That healing really takes time. Thank you.

Thank you for your videos! You look fantastic! I'm a 57 year old male who is considering having both upper and lower eyelid surgery. I've never been so anxious about something in my life. Your video made me feel a bit better. Do you have very noticeable scars? That's my biggest concern.

Thanks for sharing. I am getting worried and impatient ten days post. I thought lower blep would recover faster than upper blep but I was so wrong. I also had a left upper revision like you haha. I bruise easily too, we are so similar. Glad that you are happy with your results.

Did it get better and has it lasted till now
@Dandelion_flight Жыл бұрын
@@karla9260 Hi, yes it did get better as in the bruises went away but I can't remember how long it took now. I would say relatively a long time compared to some patients. I bruise easily and my surgeon was not as skillful too. The upper blep stay fine and it has been two years now. My eyes are no longer hooded. This will probably stay about 10 years. The lower is not so good and I needed to get cosmetic help to help improve the situation.

I had lower blepharoplasty on May 20...so 32 days ago. I have what I’m guessing is still ever so slight bruising under my right eye in the corner...more so than the left. That eye is also the one where the bag was more prominent. I wonder if it’s bruising or if I’m gonna just have that darker area under my eyes forever 😳??? I have found concealer makes it more noticeable so I’d rather not wear any. I also had fat grafting to cheek and under eye area and at times I feel tightness and tenderness under the eyes in that area. These videos have been so helpful because recovery is definitely not 7 days...haha! I don’t see any swelling but my surgeon said to give it at least a full 3 months to allow for complete resolution of bruising and/or swelling. Patience is key for sure!

I am wondering about the feeling and sensations weeks after. No one speaks about that and it's scary to know what is normal? Tingly, pressure, discomfort, pain, both eyes, one eye? Set backs, swelling after everything went down?

I had blepharoplasty surgery about 7 weeks ago on my right eyelud, which had a lot more skin for some reason on the upper eyelid than my left eyelid did. Even though it's already 7 weeks out, my right eyelid is red and purple and significantly bigger than the left eyelid. I'm scared. Is this normal? Also, today I accidentally rubbed my right eyelid pretty hard and I got the worst pain. I pulled too hard on the skin. I pulled upward. Do you think I damaged my eyelid? Please answer, because you said that you would like to hear questions from people who are going to have the surgery or who already had the surgery. I'd appreciate it so much, you have no idea!!!

How did you get it resolved? Are you happy now?
@Kaagrant Жыл бұрын
This is not a reply to Equitable Street, though I hope all has been resolved. This is an example of a question for the surgeon-definitely not for KZbin (or Reddit or tik Tok or Facebook etc). Sure, run it by others while you’re waiting to hear back from your surgeon, but don’t not ask the surgeon for whatever reason-we women too often don’t want to be the bothersome one. You’re not a bother or a nuisance when you e paid someone good money and have serious concerns. A good medical professional knows that.
@Equitable_Street_Access_SF Жыл бұрын
@@Kaagrant my surgeon ended up treating me badly and disrespectfully. They wouldn't answer my phone calls or messages. I finally gave up. That's why I turned to KZbin. No joke.
@Equitable_Street_Access_SF Жыл бұрын
@@ibanez856 I don't remember how long it took me to heal, but clearly it took me way longer than most people, because if you go online and you look up people who are two weeks out, three weeks out, four weeks out, Etc, all their bruising is gone. Clearly from this comment, my bruising lasted minimum 7 weeks. My surgeon would not follow up with me or answer my questions, and the one time that he did he sounded really annoyed and only gave me a half answer. It was very strange. I will never go back to that surgeon again. All in all though, I'm very happy with the result! At least he did a good job. But his bedside manner is horrendous.
@Kaagrant Жыл бұрын
@@Equitable_Street_Access_SF That can happen,mom course. But a qualified medical professional is the one to ask. People reading KZbin comments could be anyone. They could be landscapers for all we know. You can also try trying going TO their office if you’re not getting answers to legitimate questions . Just show up. I did it with at an OB/Gyn office at a large teaching university hospital. “Why am I here? Because your phones are Akers busy. I’ve got serious problems and if you won’t see me, I’ll make out a complaint to ACOG.” They got me in, in a snap. No drama, no emotional outburst, nothing they could use to say I was hysterical or disruptive. Im so sorry that happened to you. How’s your eye now?

I am 3 weeks out from my lower blepharoplasty surgery, and although I dont have the bruises you did, I still have the same issue with my eyes being really puffy. The first few days, they suggest ice packs and then switch to warm packs until the bruiseing is gone. What did you do, if anything other than time, after your 3 weeks to help the puffyness go down quiker?

Just have to be patient my bruising is going down slightly day by day, but the lady in the video said it took her bruising to subside complete at week 15 so everyone works different.

Would you post a recent video? I had similar results 6 weeks out, but that is NO longer the case. I look hollow and don't recognize myself. These plastic surgeons should be ashamed of themselves for performing such short term procedures! Unless you can afford and would even want to get injected with fillers every 6 months, I'd stay away!!! Fat looks far better than a hollowed out appearance (see all the mature women who now wear glasses.Bet you they are just masking their hollowed up appearance)!!!
