This is week 2 of my eye surgery (lower and upper blepharoplasty) recovery, I have been very busy this week, I went to see my surgeon for a check-up, I swapped my winter wardrobe for my summer clothing, Louis went to a groomer, and we planted flowers in our back garden

I think your surgeon did an AMAZING job - and I’m saying this as an insanely crazy perfectionist! Looks very natural, like you are just a refreshed, healthy, youthful version of you! I promise he took enough skin off - remember less is more and you can always get more done in the future! :) You wouldn’t want to look overdone like some of those tightly pulled celebrities ! People with negative things to say are the type that would post something negative no matter what. They’re just miserable, unhappy people - never mind them.

About the people who made strange comments to Nisha: Though I didn’t read any of them, I actually wonder whether they were concerned about her possibly being taken advantage of financially. Here in America, the norm is to have sedation for bletheroplasty and an in-office (surgical room) procedure, then you’re home the same day - usually within 2 hours of being stitched up. Hospital stays are hugely expensive - and since this cosmetic surgery was performed in a private hospital, the expense must have been considerable. So I understand why some may have expressed surprise or questioned whether this was normal in the U.K. Americans tend to forget that the health care administered in Europe and the UK tends to be more conservative than here in the U.S. - which is to say they err on the side of caution. Because American doctors are pressured by insurance companies to cut costs and minimize hospital stays, this thinking has trickled into the cosmetic surgical arena - even though it’s the client footing the bill. I myself even startled when Nisha said she overnighted in hospital because I never even heard of that as an option. Now, I didn’t comment about it because as long as Nisha is happy, that’s all that matters - but I admit to finding it highly unusual. Having said that, if/when my eyes get done, would I like to overnight in a small clinic/surgical-center being tended to by aides? You betcha!

@@jenniferlynn3537 I just had surgery, an Oophorectomy here in Sicily. As an American, I was disheartened to learn I would be in hospital for 3 nights. In America, you go home the same day. I was very ill for 24 hours from the anesthesia and was happy to be around medical personnel. I'm soon to be 64 y/o.

@@GladBurgio Thank you for taking the time to validate my observations! I’m glad you received the care you needed ~ and I can very much relate to your experience. Last year I had a total knee replacement at the best hospital in the nation, and was informed I wouldn’t be spending more than an overnight. Can you imagine? 😶 As it turned out, I was there 6 days - and truly appreciated the medical care, physical therapy, medication oversight, specialized equipment, and the meals-to-order. I cannot even imagine being sent home the same day - as some were!!!

Whoever is making negative comments towards Nisha just because she stayed in a hospital for her surgery is frankly, quite ignorant. What a small world they must live in. They are obviously on social media so surely they have the capability to learn something different. I am also fed up with the negative and snarky comments about money. Obviously there are content creators out there who make it a point to flaunt (or humble flaunt) their wealth and all their material possessions, but Nisha is not that. Note: I had outpatient upper lid blepharoplasty done in 2020. I was under, but they woke me up too early and I could barely dress myself.I was so woozy and disoriented. I thought it was awesome that Nisha had some time to recover. Nisha - you look terrific!

I pointed out elsewhere that some of these folks could genuinely have been concerned that Nisha may have been taken advantage of financially, as overnighting in hospital comes with considerable expense. I happen to watch a lot of videos on KZbin on blepharoplasty because I’m considering one myself ~ and I, too, haven’t come across another instance of someone overnighting ~ and I’m someone who’d prefer competent overnight oversight! (pun intended) Anyway, people who resent content creators speaking about the costly cosmetic procedures they’ve obtained need to realize that this falls into the realm of educating the public. Would any of us want to return to the days of everything being cloaked in secrecy so no one knows what might be expected during the course of nips and tucks? Of course not! I’d be curious to know how many women who frown on cosmetic surgery don’t give a second thought to the expense of childbearing ~ which is also an unnecessary and self~indulgent medical venture. Currently, 1/3 of births in the U.S. are by cesarean section ~ many of them planned ~ yet somehow the expense of that “emotionally fulfilling” undertaking escapes the scrutiny that cosmetic procedures receive. I think it’s fair to say that people need to “look in the mirror” before passing judgment on others. 😉

Your surgeon did an excellent job, Nisha, so don't listen to anybody that says otherwise. I don't think the kind of procedure you had can be done without general anesthesia...and being careful and watching you for a night in the hospital doesn't hurt. The results are impressive so far. You are having the results that I would consider ideal : he removed what you did not like and gave you a natural, refreshed look but still keeping your beautiful features 🥰🥰. congratulations !!!

My mom had the same procedure, about 8 years ago, and it took about 12 weeks to be 100% with full feeling and scar healing. I think it just depends on your own body's ability to repair. You have always been beautiful and you look refreshed and beautiful now as well. Thank you for giving us updates. I've been up all night in Arizona, waiting for your post 😂

Nisha, Your surgeon did a great job! I’m having an upper bleph for my hooded lids July 19 and can’t wait. I’ll be 46, in the US and my Oculoplastic surgeon is using local anesthesia in her in-office surgical suite. The entire procedure is expected to take 30 minutes. I think you look so refreshed Nisha. It’s always best to go with what your Dr recommends so I wouldn’t worry with the negative comments regarding the overnight hospital stay. Different regions follow different procedures. Happy Sunday

Dear Nisha, you are healing well and fast and you look great. Your upper lids look 99% healed from how I see it on the screen. I am on my 10th day of recovery after my upper eyelid surgery and I feel like I am so in tune with everything you are describing and sharing with us here. I saw my surgeon 6 days after the surgery, he is happy with the speed of the healing and so am I. He told me I could now, gently wash the scars with sterile cotton balls and baby shampoo (which helps the stitches dissolve faster) and then apply vitamin E oil to help the scars vanish. I had my upper eyes done in the fall of 2020 by a board certified plastic surgeon. He did an excellent job and I too had mine under general anesthesia in a hospital plus stayed overnight. There’s no way I’d have it done any other way. Maybe some doctors here in America perform the procedure under local but not all …. I’d much rather be safe than sorry …. You already look amazing! Eventually you won’t even be able to see your scars. Scarring in the eye area heals so well … 🤩 ❣️

I have been told if he had taken more skin above, there’s a risk of showing too much white around your eye, which gives a constant look of surprise. One thing you haven’t mentioned is that this procedure only needs to be done once (as opposed to facelift). Mine was done 28 years ago and looks almost the same as when new. Hi Nisha, I live in America, as you know. I have never heard of anyone having eye surgery from a plastic surgeon and walking in and walking out. I would think a person would need to stay overnight at least. Probably close to the clinic where the surgery takes place. That would be my guess, anyway. I would want to be nearby, so I could get to my doctor if l needed him. You look fabulous and I knew you would. Your surgeon did a wonderful job. Have a great upcoming week! Hugs ❤

I was in and out within 1.30 min. 6 months later got Lower bleph done under full anesthesia and went home right after the surgery. Obviously needed driver after both procedures.

I live in South Africa and had a SMAS (lower face), done under conscious sedation, went in at 8am and was out at 3pm. Never knew a thing it was as though I was under a general. Was fantastic as healing was much quicker.

You are looking marvelous! General anestesio is almost always required when you have upper and lower lid surgery. I personally think 24 hours in the hospital is a win win situación post surgery. You have nurses if needed and ice pretty much on demand and you are practically forced to stay still and rest. ❤

I had gall bladder surgery, and sent home a few hours after, my daughter had to come from Colorado to California to help me. That’s our USA health coverage. You almost have to be on your death bed to stay the night in a hospital here!

Hi Nisha! I can't wait to see the first make-up! With the evolution of surgery and a good plastic surgeon, I think the risks are lower. I always thought it was very painful because when I was younger we used to say “You have to suffer to be beautiful”. I think that many people still don't realize how advanced the methods used are. Your videos will surely help many subscribers to take the plunge and not be afraid to make an informed decision. All operations, whatever their nature, involve risk. The most important thing is to do your research properly and choose the right doctor! Each person is different, and each person's recovery is unique! Depending on the type of skin, bruising will probably be more or less apparent during the healing process. Have a good week! xxx

I'd like to grow geraniums too because they do very well here in the climate of Queensland, however, the possums love them! I lost the lost. What a little guts! PS The only time I have been allowed to go home after "surgery" was each time I had a cataract removed from one of my eyes. It only takes 20 to 30 mins and you don't really get anaesthetic. It's just that your eye area is made numb. Even then, they make you stay for quite some time under watch before they will let anyone take you home. As for anaesthetic, that's a hospital stay so you can be monitored.

You are healing so well, Nisha! It is a process for sure and I still look everyday to see if anything has changed! I use Mederma Scar Cream at night…it’s soothing and seems to be working. I do find I have dry eye now especially in the evening but I had cataract surgery as well so could be that too. I use eye drops everyday. I sometimes think I wish my surgeon had taken more off but I think it’s the skin above my eyelid skin and would probably need a brow lift or forehead lift for that. This will have to do and satisfy my vanity! I hear you gf! ♥️🤗

You are healing so incredibly well!!! Your surgeon did an amazing job!!! I bruise very severely from ANYTHING that I do, but my face is so crazy. Surgery and even getting filler left insane bruising and they're so impossible to cover and take a long time to fade! Your swelling and the numbness will resolve. Give it time!! 💗

You are doing great. I had problems with dry eyes for months. And I had an area on one eyelid that stayed numb for over a year. I started wearing makeup after a week and I bruised pretty badly. You are healing nicely.😁❤️

Helichrysum essential oil might work for the bruising and healing since Arnica didn't. Works wonders for some people. Has even kept people from scarring when they had some pretty nasty injuries. Something to look into if you like. Much love ❤

Having both procedures done at the same time probably required longer anesthetic which can cause adverse effects so it’s wise of your surgeon to keep you overnight. Your results are looking fantastic. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Hi nisha hope ur well, late on today as family been up for dinner, all gone now😁omg still can’t get over how well u have healed, ur looking amazing nisha👌it is hard work in garden, loving the flowers, makes u feel happy when they’re bloomed beautifully, haha Las Vegas😂😂love love grasses in gardens,got a few myself! I think ur doing a fantastic job covering bruises , can’t c them at all, I have dry eyes through fibromyalgia, but have drops to sort them out😁it’s just time now nisha for everything to knit back together, day 13 amazing how u look honestly, very busy time ahead! Wow! Look at those snow drops 👍 Yes, the surgeon may have a different incision on one side, because one side of our face is different to the other, and also heals at different rates,. You will wake up one morning soon and the yellow will have vanished. Yes, feeling numb is normal, but it will get better, and Bio oil is good for the scars. I agree that Arnica doesn't seem to do much good I must say, for day 12 you look amazing 😍 Love your deck 🌞

Nisha, Arnica gel is amazing for healing bruising. I use it if my botox leaves a bruise. Its really miraculous stuff. It can be bought in any drugstore.

I have a current body LED mask which I love but that Gua Sha looks very interesting. I have the normal Gua Sha stones and rollers but I’m a bit lazy to use. I think that LED one would give me more incentive to use it!

I used to put a light coat of Vaseline on my eyes, initially. And I felt like I had glue around my eyes. Looks great!!!!

Here in the U.S. it seems like they have too many out patient surgeries, that really shouldn’t be. Mostly because of insurance companies calling the shots on what they’ll cover. hello !!! you look great....i also was numb, its really normal.Probally took around 8 weeks for the numbness to go away... I am a year out now and still cant get my eyeshadow to look right, after 50 years i had those hoods looking great with shadow... i cant wait to see what you do !!!!! Oh and my eyes got dry also for about 6 mts.
