I know you won a nice pot with J-9 after moving tables but I am not sure why you would leave a spot where you are catching cards and winning. That's like winning money at a blackjack table and then moving tables or even spots for some unknown reason.

The equity with the J9 is probably over 50% against most hands, except for sets. In that hand you were about a 40% favorite to win. Interestingly, even if he flopped the straight you would have more equity than you do against a set, about 48% to win. Against sets they have outs to improve also. So with a combo draw like that a fast play is fine, unless you suspect they have a set, than you may want to continue more cautiously.

Dude, that A7o fold was REALLY good. Great discipline and situational awareness. WAY too many players would have ended up calling down the whole way even if they thought they were probably beat. Ace/rag, especially off-suit, is a trap that too often get people in big trouble. You've been pulling off some good plays lately. This is the kind of solid poker that I love to see from you. It's not flashy, but it's incredibly entertaining and your commentary is great too. You know that you're a great content creator when you can turn a SB limp to a turn fold into a hand that's just as fun to watch as hitting a straight on the river for a double up. Oh, and dinner tonight is KFC cos I'm lazy.

@@PokerBEAST Actually if you watch the video, the river ended up being a 7 which would have gave him the best two pair. All he had to do was call $15 and most likely would have doubled up through the guy who had two pair with K2 and possibly even more from the guy with AQ. When you are closing the action and only have to put in $15 that is a bad fold. If someone bet and there would still be action behind him, then yes I agree with folding, but he was closing the action which is a must call. The implied odds were there for a call.

I mean, I don’t even hate the turn bet size with the 89hh. Sure a $40-50 bet is usually preferable but with the 9 paired to go with the flush draw mixing in smaller bet sizes is great when your opponent is playing a flopped top pair weakly. And the $25 bet is DEFINITELY the right size when they have Q7offsuit in their hand for zero apparent reason. Giving your opponent 4-1 pot odds when they’re like an 8-1 dog (and that’s presupposing there’s still all 3 queens in the deck) is definitely not a mistake. It’s also not a mistake if they have a jack and you’re the underdog. It’s really only a mistake when they have 8-10 or 7-10 or like A4 and river you. Small turn bets are becoming underrated imo. That said, $78 pot, I’d bet $40/45 in that exact spot
