I came back to correct myself, remember when i said it doesn’t last longer than 3 hours, I was very wrong, i was impatient with it that day because i only bought it 2 weeks back and didn’t wear it march, that day it lasted over 7 hours. Today it lasted over 9 hours!!!! But that takes about 8+ sprays to achieve

My understanding of Bleu De Chanel is that the Chanel wanted to revive the blue fragrance genre, which is supposed to be fresh, aquatic and light. The edt version is the only one that is truly a blue fragrance, whereas the edp is an amber fragrance, and the parfum is a woody fragrance. If they make an Elixir version, it will no long be "Bleu De Chanel".

Thank you very much for your comment. There you just hit 100% relevant when it comes to Bleu De Chanel. It is exactly as you say there, and the meaning behind the publications. I also thought the same thing about "Elixir" that it would be typical since almost all brands do it nowadays. You are absolutely right that it will not make sense when we correct the meaning behind Bleu De Chanel. I don't think that Chanel will do it either, with this line.

@NickiAngelo According to Jeremy Fragrance, at the time of the release of the EDT in 2010, CHANEL already had all three EDT, EDP, and Parfum formulation versions created in the lab, but CHANEL chose the EDT formulation because it was the best formulation. If they would have come out with the EDP or Parfum version first in 2010, Bleu De Chanel probably would not have become so popular. Do you agree?

@@DwyaneWadeCounty I've heard it before. I think they have had variations from the beginning, but I never "believed" they had the exact edt, edp and parfum that we have now. I'm not sure, but in my opinion, a lot could have changed when it comes to both time and taste. So I don't quite agree with Jeremy when it comes to the exact releases that it ended up with. When I think about it, we are also "all the way back" in 2010, and that was a little before it hit with most designer brands starting to produce a whole line, with different concentrations.

Thank you for this comparison bro. Could you do one for Bleu De Chanel Parfum ? cause based on my research, the 2018 bottle has IL17 as the ingredients but the newer ones have IL60 instead. I would love to see if they smell any different from how they used to smell. Again, thank you so much for these comparison video (old vs new). They are super helpful and interesting to watch 👍

Does maceration helps with performance? Love BDC but it seems weak especially for the price.

@TheMichaelRN That is a very good question you ask. I have learned that when you talk about darker notes like Oud etc. and what you would call winter perfumes, they often become stronger with time, and sometimes perform better. Unfortunately when it's citrus perfumes (Bleu de chanel) they don't necessarily age better. They may get a little stronger after the first sprays and the first few weeks, but citrus perfumes just don't get better with time like others with "stronger" notes. unfortunately. Now, I don't know how long you've had your Bleu de chanel, but if you've had it for longer than a few months, you should probably expect it to perform as it actually wants to. An alternative to make it last a bit better, could be to smear a very small layer of Vaseline on the areas where you spray. It has previously helped me to get fragrances that last 4-5 hours, for example, to last 5-6-7 hours. Hope the answer here helped :) Otherwise, you just ask.

I would say of a perfume to be so project it well. approx. 3 hours with good projection. Longiverty all in all is approx. 10-11 hours.

I have BDC edp and for me its the most disappointing fragrance I own. Zero sillage and about 2 mins before its a skin scent. I've literally put this on and asked my daughter if she likes the fragrance only for her to have to nuzzle into my neck to get a smell of it. I've moved on to other frags now.

Wow, And that's even the edp version. I can understand that is not very cool. Especially when you spend a lot of money on it. Hope your daughter at least enjoys the scent a bit then. But that's why I also only own the "perfum" version these days. It gives me approx. 8-9 hours in total. Personally i am also more into niche these days.

@@NickiAngelo It is a lovely fragrance and I certainly would not try and put anyone off giving this a try, it's just that on my skin it's just a waste. I too moved on to niche and get much better results.

I fully understand what you mean. After all, many people often see the advertisements for designer fragrances, and therefore they are often what people go for. There are also a lot of good scents, often the problem can just be the performance. It's also the same thing I do in many cases. With niche, you are mostly guaranteed good performance.
