Let me introduce you the Queen: Freddie Mercury the lead singer and pianist, Brian May the guitarist, John Deacon the bassist and Roger Taylor the drummer, they all were highly graduated, Freddie was graphic designer, Brian is an astrophysicist, John is an electronic engineer and Roger a biologist and of course they were great musicians. Queen is the most versatile rock band, they wrote their own stuff in several genres from rock to jazz, to pop, etc. cca. 200 songs. Freddie never took singing lessons, but he could sing all genres effortless and his powerful and emotional performances are still legendary. Freddie was a huge fan of Aretha Franklin who was the queen of soul music and he wrote this song as a tribute to Aretha. Pls, check out another tribute song that Freddie wrote after Elvis Presley died, Crazy Little Thing Called Love at Wembley 86. (In terms of Queen using headphones or earpods are highly recommended.)

There's not much to say here that everyone hasn't already said about Queen. They were the best band to ever perform and Freddie Mercury was the best rock front man to ever grace a stage. His live performances were next level greatness. If you really want to see Freddie controlling an audience you should react to "Love Of My Life" live from Rio in 1985 or the same song live from Wembley in 86. Great reactions!

They were/are the greatest band and Freddie is truly amazing. Even though he passed away in 1991, he still remains the best frontman of all time. He can sing his butt off; and the crowd control you should watch Under Pressure live at Wembley (the 5:56 minute version). That man is seriously amazing. May I also recommend Live Aid '85. Great performance. The whole band is amazing -- they are all gifted. Plus, there was no auto-tune back in the day. All pure talent. Again thanks for the reaction.

Weren't they wonderful? I celebrated my 24th B-Day at this concert. We drove over 5000 miles return, from Alberta to Quebec to see them. One of the best memories of my life, to be sure! Sadly, Freddie also passed on my B-Day 10 years later. I light a candle for him every year, (This year was no different. Last week was 41 years ago) and play their song Who Wants To Live Forever. Great reaction to watch from you! Thanks!

You can't go wrong with Queen in my estimation. I subscribed, too, as I loved your reaction. Suggestions from me is an early Queen song called Killer Queen. You won't recognize Freddie, ha ha. Studio Version...not a live one. Even if you think you know Another One Bites The Dust, the studio version gives me goosebumps and many Pele find they didn't know all the words. Michael Jackson talked them into releasing it in the USA as a single, and it shot to #1 on the charts. Lastly, live 20 minute set at Live Aid 1985 is well worth the 20 minutes which Zoom by like 10 minutes or less. You did a great reaction here. Someone wrote that Freddie Mercury wore a superman t-shirt....and somewhere thee is a Superman wearing a Freddie Mercury shirt. smile. I liked that.

Everything in their discography is great. You won’t find a bad song and there’s so much variety in genres. Innuendo, from their final album before Freddie’s death, is a terrific, near modern hard rock song that goes dark. Show Must Go On from that album is incredible too. The band got together once after Freddie’s death to produce No One But You (Only The Good Die Young) as a tribute and it’s terrific. Brian and Roger sing on lead on it.

Great reaction. Queen voted the best live band, check out Under pressue live at Wembley 86 Fat bottomed girls live at Bowl 82 Don't stop me now official video Bohemian Rhapsody live at Montreal 81 Freddie's voice is unmatched. Even scientific study confirms Freddie Mercury had an unparalleled singing voice. That what makes his voice so special was extremely fast vibrato 7.04 Hz and subharmonics. He was able to create several more layers of harmonics than anyone else. Freddie was using a subharmonics by vibrating his ventricular folds, a technique usually found only in Tuvan throat singers. One of the conclusions from the studies was that "Mercury was vibrating something in his throat that even Pavarotti couldn't move and that kind of creates a very typical vocal fingerprint" Brian May ( guitar player)has PhD degree in astrophysics and voted the greatest rock guitarist of all time ( Total Guitar magazine).

I subbed so I can follow you on this journey. It's always exciting to follow a new reactor whose background is primarily rap/hip hop. Nothing wrong with those genres but there's so much more to discover. And I'll say right now, don't overlook other genres besides classic rock. Don't know what your exposure is but there's a lot of great music in the genres of R&B, soft rock, yacht rock, blues, metal, disco, and even pop. Lot's of sub genres in each too. Everyone here is aware of the need to pause for copyright reasons and we're fine with it. But there's a bit of an art to doing it right. You seem like an intelligent guy; I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. Just takes practice and patience. By the way, if nobody's suggested it yet it's a good idea to get yourself a good set of headphones; you'll be amazed at what a difference that makes. With Queen you've started with one of the top classic rock bands of all time. Excluding the Beatles, who should be in a classification all to themselves, my 3 top classic rock bands are Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Queen. Others will of course have a different opinion; that's ok everybody has a right to their opinion even if it's wrong (just kidding!😁). I also think Freddie Mercury is the greatest front man in the history of rock! There'll never be another like him. By all means continue exploring Queen; they have so many iconic songs. I'm sure you'll get plenty of suggestions in the comments. Seems to me you really like electric guitar. I'll finish off by suggesting two performances for you. First is a live performance that contains what many think is the greatest live rock guitar solo of all time: Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb live Pulse concert 1994. The other I'd suggest is Stevie Ray Vaughn Texas Flood live at El Mocambo. Please be careful to do exactly those versions; they're easy to find. If you do any other live version you'll get a lot of comments saying "That was great but you should've done this version". Anyway best of luck to you. I'm looking forward to following your journey. Buckle up; it's gonna be a wild ride!

Welcome to the world of Queen! Aretha Franklin was one of Freddie Mercury's influences and you can definitely hear her at the end of the song. I highly recommend Save Me (this concert's version, Montreal '81, is an absolute must), Radio Ga Ga, Stone Cold Crazy, Killer Queen, I Want To Break Free, The Show Must Go On, Spread Your Wings, Tear It Up and Crazy Little Thing Called Love. Crazy Little Thing Called Love was Freddie's tribute to Elvis, who was another one of his influences. Freddie wrote it in 10 minutes while in a bathtub in a Munch hotel.
