For clarification I don't agree with nemesis but he's completely valid and him losing to knight in solo Q doesn't change his argument at all. everything aside I would like to point out Akali never hard-counters Sylas. It is a pretty-even match at any elo, including competitive matches. So it really depends on the user and the rest of the teammates.

Just to add to it, Akali won lane early and got this Sylas' flash on his own and had advantage on health before the first kill. While Jinx pinned early enough, Sylas chose to go in and got pulled by Pyke. So whoever played Sylas caused the lane and game loss himself, not because of his teammates or he got hard countered.
