I expected lower fs for a 34mm hard dome. So I will wait for the purify tweeter test.Great job Joseph!

Yes, I would love to see actual polar data on what Purifi comes up with. It’s certainly a tough technical challenge. Purifi needs to make a compression driver!

Interesting. That Be driver looks good. Have you tested the Truextent Be diaphragms on your horns? I’d like to know how they compare to the Be dome tweeter

Nice compairson of the Beryllium and Ceramic. It does re enforce my experance that most Ceramics I have tried sound harsh. I have only used cheep ones so perhaps this one is better. I have been looking for a cheep Beryllium and their has been on ebay for a few years that is 16% Beryllium and the rest Copper. No reviews anywhere. Its under the name davidlous and they have a 25mm unit. It does look like the primary breakup is about 14K which would make it about the same as a ceramic. Perhaps the damping is a lot better. Love your work BTW.

I haven’t really noticed ceramic being worse than neodymium. I’ve tested the 65CD-T vs 65CDN-T and no difference. I’ve tested the RCF CD350 vs ND350 and no difference. These models are the same other than the magnet material. But I’ve experienced massive differences from model to model even under the same brand…from terrible to excellent, depending on model. So it’s all about a particular design implementation for that specific driver model, regardless of brand or cost.
