I'm going to try this with Witherhoard, Thorn and Osteo Striga and see which feels best. I'll probably try a void destabilising secondary and an incandescent heavy too

@@RockerzUnite since this build avoids freeze there's not that much. Trace Evidence can be good for an occasional Ionic Trace. Concussive reload let's your GL weaken. Curative Orbs makes orbs on shield break. That's about it.

While transcended, arc melee has 0 cool down and can be spammed infinitely. May be interesting to test with this

@@kennyparkes550 poison lasts for about 10 seconds and spreads naturally so you don't need to spam it completely. But that is interesting. I'll think on that.

Honestly I would love to use a build like this, but I am a hunter main. So I gotta try and figure a way to get this put together on hunter. I know spirit of gyrfalcon/actual gyrfalcon gives real easy access to volatile but then you're giving up your armor slot for just about anything else. I like gyrfalcons but I hate using "the meta"

@@alexanderolson4990hmm maybe run Gyrfalcon with Thorn, Velocity Baton, and a Strand heavy for unraveling rounds. arcbolt grenade with Jolt, Fan of Knives for scorch. That's 6 DoTs at once which is probably close to the max.

@EngineeeeerGaming definetely not a bad idea to use a weapon of sorrow, but youre forgetting that prismatic hunter has access to ascension which can just as easily if not more so apply jolt, which means you could use either duskfield or grapple grenade. Additionally silence and squall would also be a dot. So that should be up to 7

@alexanderolson4990 only thing to worry about with Freeze is it wipes some DoTs. But Ascension is a good Jolt applying ability.

@EngineeeeerGaming yeah it really annoys me they haven't fixed that freeze wipes some dot. Like flavor wise it makes sense for it to cancel scorch, but for it to wipe sorrow poison and such is just annoying.

@@bravo1697 that's a good option. Maybe get one less DoT but the Hellion Scorch with DBreath makes more ignitions.

@@chrismuoio1 kind of. They synergize with Necrotic Grips but the goal is stacking multiple, different effects because Necrotic melees and Weapon of Sorrow Poison do not stack.

Would it be more effective to leverage the new IB stasis sidearm with chill clip for more slow freeze? Perhaps swap the facet of sacrifice with the facet of ruin for more ignition and frozen target damage. You could then leverage all the artifact mods that utilize stasis.

@@jblecha8834 I'm not sure if you're on the right build. Freeze wipes poison and some other DoT effects. This build avoids freeze hard. Also Ruin is a 6.25% damage increase on shatters and just a range increase on ignition. It's fine but a little overrated

@@jblecha8834 oh I did say it in there but it's pretty brief. There's still a case for freeze for crowd control in hard endgame content. ItsTizzle has a good DoT build with freeze.

@@jasonkustra5671 it works but it's not really what this build is about because it's the same poison as Necrotic Grips and we want more damage over time effects. But it can work in the meantime. If you want a poison weapon I'd lean to Thorn though over Osteo. Hand Cannons are just a little stronger now.

Devo frag seems a little weak here, no? Dawn for radiant, assuming the dmg buff affects dots (applied and new), seems like a crazy dot n dip style gameplay.

@@bcityy the 5s of radiant on Dawn is just a bummer. And several buffs don't inherit the buff. But it's still a good idea.

@@KeithAichele-g3c nothing too crucial. - Concussive reload let's GLs weaken which is nice. - Conductive Cosmic Crystal let's your arc and void abilities do 5-8% more damage. And the stasis stuff mostly just fights the DoTs because Freeze.

@@mattieandjake I need to check that one again. Can't remember if the poison catches the syntho buff. But Spirit of the Necrotic does lose the poison scaling which is sad.

@@metroman2287 I've tried it but it takes up an exotic spot and with the Echoes Area Denial GL you can get a similar effect. It does work though

@agelesseon I'm not sure. You can get Volatile or Jolt there but you can get that elsewhere. Maybe swap to Vortex Grenade and run a Jolting Feedback Bitter/Sweet
