man i still remember sitting on my front porch back in like 2002 beating the elite four and champion in this game for the first time. it was a major hurdle because i was one of those kids who only trained their starter so i ended up challenging them with my Sceptile and then Groudon lol

The most memorable part of the RSE elite four for me, was that in Emerald you could get Rayquaza right after the 8th gym. At lvl 70. Which made everything after a complete joke lol

@@aggerktmi disagree. If anything, it allows the player to have a way out if they are struggling with their current team. Early gen pokemon was relatively harder to complete than the later ones (because of lack of access to information or guides). Smarter players looking for a challenge would hold back from using Rayquaza, while newer players can sweep through if they want.

Phoebe still comfuses me. Normally, the trainer would look like they use a certain type of Pokemon. She has flowers and looks nice. I assumed she uses grass types. Imagine the look on my face when she sent out a ghost type.

Most Elite Fours are very forgettable. Gen 3's was very. Gen 2 probably had the most memorable one just because of how they brought back Koga, Bruno, & Lance. Gen 5 was also pretty memorable, Caitlin coming from battle frontier (so cool to see her coming to her own)

I remember them days, damn. I had a game boy sp and Sapphire version my brothers had ruby and emerald. Didn't had to buy no more batteries and I would have shit load of batteries sitting in the sun thinking it would charge up sometimes it do. Then I had rechargeable ones then finally the SP. 1st time to elite four got my ass beat. 2nd time ass beat. 3rd time more ass whooping till I had to grind all night and fix my party to take them on. Then i was the champion.
