This is super clever! It really reminds me a lot of the "Battle vs. Primal Groudon/Kyogre" music in OR/AS. When I first heard them fade in the GBA instruments in that theme, I actually got a bit teary from nostalgia.

I loved XY gym leader theme, and I'm going to love Galar gym leader theme ! But this one ... It's my teenage years ! Even if I'm into Pokemon since Gen 1, Gen 3 is still my favourite one. And I never liked the remix Game Freak made of this theme for ORAS (BW was almost ok). But your improvment is just perfect to keep it modern !

I can spend hours at a time going through remixes of video game songs, and this is still the best remaster of a sountrack piece I've ever heard. It maintains the punch of the original rather than improvising it out, and instead enhances the *depth* of supporting instruments that most other remixes neglect. The Omega/Alpha versions are an embarassment compared to what is simply a cleaner audio release of the original.
