I put back a lot of PBR. Here in TX it's a pretty common daily special kind of beer. $3/pint kind of thing. PBR and Montucky Cold Snack are my go-to if a place doesn't have Banquet.

PBR was marketed hard at the college segment here in the PNW. We had a music festival in Portland. I remember buying dollar pitchers at a bar in Seattle. It's a good brew.

Love these macro blind taster's. Still order PBR as a shift of gears even when some good stuff is on tap. Serves it's purpose despite it's "hipster" status🤣🍻

PBR is a fantastic macro-lager and is actually cheaper than Budweiser here (Kentucky). I don't think PBR gets the credit it's due.

In my area 24 pack of PBR is $16.48

I suppose prices could vary per state. I’m in VA and a PBR 30 pack is about $20 and a 24 pack of Bud is around $20, making PBR the cheaper alternative. But would agree, PBR has more of that American macro beer flavor, more of a bite to it.

I could tell from the beginning of the video PBR was on the presenters right and Budweiser was on his left, based on the color of the beer. AB products are always a lighter shade of yellow compared to other macro lagers.

@@GratefulKing68 Personally I liked Schlitz when they resurrected the original recipe that was going toe to toe with with Budweiser in the 50s and 60s. Too bad it never took off. I thought it was tasty. Had a Bavarian lager vibe to it. Or at least it did to me…

Michelob light (not ultra) or straight Michelob needs to make it into a battle sometime. It’s a slept on macro lager.

PBR gets a lot of hate but it's my favorite macro adjunct lager. Doesnt have the nasty green apple acetaldehyde of Budweiser.

Nah in va pbr is 12 bucks for a 12 pack shit is reasonable priced and its actually a good beer. Compared to my favorite like Modelo it varies from bottles to can and from store to store at least pbr is consistent.

Bud heavy is so inoffensive. Yet, it's ABV is 5% A person could easily guzzle down a 6 or 12 pack and get a very nice buzz. And I do believe why Budweiser is still a top selling beer.

Bud Light Platinum is the only one that comes to mind. Everything else has to be an ice beer or malt liquor I think? I’m no expert on ABVs so I’m the wrong person to ask 😂🍻

@@jsenigaglia Alcohol laws in my country are fucked beyond belief. We got "peoples beer" in stores at 3.5 and then regular beer at a state run place where the beer is mostly 5.2 - 5.6 for the regular ones. Sounds like North Korea? It's actually northern europe. Anyway Pabst always struck me as a good beer despite only ever getting to try Budweiser. How do you rate Miller and Coors? Was thinking of trying to make a taste test of the big americans.

@@hellsSG Coors Banquet and Miller High Life are two of my favorite American macro lagers. PBR, and Hamm’s are the others. Those are all worth your time if you can get them!

It's been a very long time since I had a Pabts So I will guess and say Budweiser ? isn't Pabts, Schaefer , Budweiser English Leather, Schlitz Natural light 8 track tapes not the best merchandise in their category? where as Michelob, Sam Adams , Coors light, Cd's , Ralph Lauren Polo better products? I'll have to try a Schaefer it was around when I was a kid but we never tried it. Bud, Michelob , Heinken, Lowenbrau were around when I was in my 20's I want to say Schaefer dissapeared in the mid to late 70's when did you first try Schaefer when they had the pull off rings or later when they cameback like Vinyl records?

I preferred PBR but they’re both great and super drinkable. Someone suggested Bud Vs Busch, but I can’t imagine Busch would stand a chance at its low ABV compared to Bud. We’ll have to see.
