This was a pleasant surprise, I also didn't know about this creator or animation, but there is a fanfic that also involves interesting "what-if"s called The Ponyverse. We see a team made up of elements from different universes, like a Mare-Do-Well from a Batman world where Pinkie is Joker, Flutterbat from a more fantasy world, a version of the Pinkster, Samurai Applejack, a version of RD where Nightmare Moon and Celestial were killed by Fluttershy, and a version of Nightmare Rarity where she regained control but only after already conquering Equestria. Plus Aot world, Amalgam world, Eqg Sunset as fourth-wall breaking Harry Potter, Derpy Alicorn protecting the multiverse, etc. One of the few fics I actually kept up with.

Just in case, this actually is from an anime. ΛLDNOΛH.ZERO, to be precise. Though it's not an opening, but instead an ending theme. Also, those Team Harmony guys have translated a LOT of anime (& anime-ish, even some pony) songs. And they are really good! I kinda feel like I really should take a look around various Russian fandoms. Alas, I arrived to most fandoms from the English side of the Internets, and my reading and watching queues are already overflowing, so that would be nontrivial. (Also, most Russian pony names sound way too girly or silly to me, and some fragments I've seen in Russian felt so mushy they almost made me want to puke, even if I enjoyed the English versions first... Though I probably just have much more reservations about my native language, or somesuch psychological crap.)

Hey Blank Slate. I figured out why 'Tia B did what she did. She was still building her Harmony Team. Sunset, by banishing 'Tia to the Sun, proved she was powerful enough to help protect Equestria from it's foes. Thus, 'Tia B gave Sunset an Alicorn Amulet (call back to Trixie and Twilight's battle episode), which in this universe granted her the ability to fly, sort of like that one armored unicorn guard seen in the early part of the video (his amulet must have been part and parcel of his armor). So, the Harmony Team is: Apple Jack - Mare Do Well, Rainbow Dash - 'Ironman', Fluttershy - Mind Merge, Rarity - High Fashion Singing Idol with Gem Magic, Pinkie Pie - Portal Mare, and Sunset Shimmer - Demonic Summoning and flight with Alicorn Amulet. NOT something I would want to face as a foe of that Equestria. For such a short video, there is so much 'ore' here to be mined. One could go on and on and on about it all. but I won't. enough from me, the Frank Pony

I don't think Sunset was actually forgiven. The title of the song is *"aLIEz"* Lie is in all catpital so that could mean somehing is a lie and/or off truth. This could be the meaning behind the Necklace Celestia B gave Sunset. It looks off and Sunset doesn't have REAL wings. Maybe this was a way to secretly hold her back while looking as if all is simply dandy... Does that make any sense to you?

Think I understand what's going on. From what I could tell, after watching the linked video, Luna's darker half, Nightmare Moon, had not come out yet in this reality. Sunset Shimmer stole Twilight's crown to preemptively defeat the Nightmare without having to banish Luna to the moon. It seems like Sunset is the bad guy banishing Celestia temporarily to the sun, but for their reality its actually saving Luna and Celestia is proud of her student finally finding her place and accepting her into her 'Harmony Squad.' Its not that Sunset was trying to hurt Celestia, she was trying to prevent Nightmare Moon.
