The Spider and The Butterfly - Animated Short

A little white spider spends her days daydreaming about flying off to meet her other half from her hanging flower pot. Wishing the same company as the butterflies, she makes leaf wings to take off but falls in to the abyss of the grass bellow. There, she will meet a peculiar butterfly and together they'll find a way out of the grass and discover much more.
This is my first fully animated short. It is a labor of love that I've been working on since August of 2017. I'm so happy I get to share this milestone in my life and my career with all of you.
The entire musical score was done by the amazing themusicreborn aka Ben Banas. He's a fellow freelance artist so please check out his content.

I love this so much! Even though she was a different species from him, he didn’t run away or think she was ugly. Bruh… I just got recommended this today, and I remember watching it years ago when it first came out… This was such a masterpiece to me, and still is. It’s so cool how you can clearly hear everything they say without them saying anything. How clearly you can tell their wants, problems, personality, literally everything is known. What’s more is how beautifully the music works with the animation. The artstyle is incredible. This is amazing. Good work.

Though I hate to say this, it would be practically impossible for a spider and a butterfly to have off spring. I believe that the it is indeed a spider with wings but it should also be able to eat nectar, and/or plants along with other insects. So it's just a mixture of the two's genes and would practically be harmless to us in the real world.
