Apple Bloom was wearing Goldie Delicious' neckerchief. Lyra-Bon is a 'thing', We can only imagine that Vinyl and Octavia are still together. Discord-Fluttershy is a 'thing'. It seems Rainbow Dash took over for Spitfire as leader of the Wonderbolts. Gallus as a Royal Guard?!! Love it. Yona-Sandbar seems to be a 'thing'. Rarity seems to have never found her Prince Charming. The Cutie Mark Crusaders are all Teachers now. So many tie-offs... and the scenes with the Mane 6 leaping across the scene reveal all the characters... including Sunset Shimmer, and oh, so many others. I could probably watch the final episode a couple of dozen times and still not see all the details hidden in every scene. Oh, BTW: the friend that first convinced me to watch the series and got me hooked on it, had been watching it for FIVE years, without ever noticing that Derpy was on on the Train in the opening sequence. Something I pointed out to him. So, I will NEVER say that I know ALL the details of this final episode. Just so I don't fall into the trap he did. :) Frank-ly speaking.

While it would be very nice to see them from time to time, in the context of the show it would be nice to meet new characters with their on goals and personalities. Also its kind of mandatory from a business perspective, its hard to keep selling the same toys forever lol. I just hope g5 is interesting enough to merit watching. Hopefully set in the same world as g4, and ideally not very long after this episode.

"Twilight's a better teacher than Celestia!" Maybe. Maybe not. She definitely knows more about friendship. Or more accurately, she's the only one with good examples to show others. Celestia was the sole ruler of Equestria, and pretty much unapproachable for the majority of the citizens. It isn't that Celestia was a bad teacher, it was that the only way that would work that she had access to was guiding her to learn her own lessons. Now, something to criticize about Celestia is that she valued Twilight's growth over the safety of Equestria when it came to Nightmare Moon, and when they went to the Crystal Empire. THAT is one way that Twilight is better.

Oh, I'm not talking about "trusting it to Twilight." That was warranted. What I'm criticizing is the complete lack of trust in Twilight to know any sort of information about the situation. Would she have panicked at first? Probably. But if Celestia told her... I dunno, a few months ahead of time, so she has time to cool down and think about things more rationally? Perhaps been told that the Elements worked with friendship? There were a lot of things left up to chance just so Twilight would learn a more compelling lesson. I mean, Twilight almost brushed off the other Element bearers completely, and only their stubbornness made them force Twilight to take them with.

I know it was half a second, but did you note the first page of the newspaper Twilight was looking at? Ra-Ra was on the lower portion of the Cover, singing her heart out. Oh, and the cover of the comic book Twilight found on the 3rd check of the castle? A pony-fied version of the Action Comics issue #1, which showed Superman lifting a 30's style car overhead. Don't believe me? Go back and freeze the frame when the comic's front page is seen, then look up pictures of the cover of Action Comics, issue one.

He said on Twitter he came up with a basic outline for the episode when he was still on staff and it never went any further than that, but then some other writers took the idea and finished it off a year or so after he left. All in all, i'd say this episode was the perfect ending for the FIM series, i mean i'm gonna miss it as much as everyone else but still, i found it amazing how much the Mane 6 and all the other characters had accomplished during the years following up to the episodes time skip, and judging by how old the characters looked, and with the expansion they did on Canterlot, i always estimated the finale takes place probably 20 years in the future.

I wonder if Hasbro would ever be open to the idea of spinoff series. There is so much material to work with: Celestia and Luna's past, their relationship with the Pillars, Discord's past, Tirek's relationship with Scorpan, the list goes on. I would be so down for a _Chronicles of Equestria_ series dealing with the surprisingly extensive lore that the showwriters have provided. The sad thing is that I'm in the bargaining phase of grief. Coming of with these ideas is just a vain attempt to cope with the loss of this fantastic series.

To Blake Slate. When I first started watching MLP, I was in a really depressed time in my life with direction in where I was going. I would watch youtube videos alot and I discover MLP fan videos. After a time I said, "I will watch the first premiere to see what this is all about." Since this is a girl show, I don't want to get into it; but I wanted to know why it was popular. After watching the first Premiere I watch the other premiere and finale then some episode. Eventually, I became hooked on the show and caught up with the latest Season 5. Since I didn't have anyone to enjoy these shows with, I turn to reaction videos. I have watch several different MLP reaction videos; but the ones I hoped to see on a weekly basic was Applegeek; Bronymonster; and you Blank Slate. I would watch the show then turn around and think I wonder if Blank Slate would react or think the same about this episode. Every few days, I would click on your channel to see if you have uploaded a new reaction to the latest episode.I am subscribed to you and will stay subscribed after this; but with youtube, it does not always suggest your videos. I have been checking your channel like this for 5 years now. I have enjoy all your videos and loved your reactions and thoughts. You would react to videos that no other reactor react to. You and Raritydash really kept up with the fandom react more than anyone. It thanks to you reactors over all that I found some of the fan videos. It going to be weird not clicking on your mlp reaction videos anymore unless it's fan made. I probably will not be here for the ride when Generation 5 comes out; but who knows, it might draw me back in; and if it does, I will be watching your reacts again. This show; this fandom; and you reactors really have help me out over the years when I have been down. Your optimism in your reacts would cheer me up. I can't express my gratitude enough. This show has gone so far. It has been such an amazing trip for all of us. My Little Pony has brought people together, made friendships, and has even brought the fandom together. We got many laughs, tears, and so many other emotions. I'm really going to miss this show. MLP is actually the main reason that me and my girlfriend even met and became friends, and then a couple. Nine seasons of FIM...it seems so long, yet so short considering that I got into this series in late 2013. I wasn’t ready for this epilogue, it hit me in the feels like a speeding Wonderbolt. I loved seeing all the characters in their older years, including Twilight. Seeing how some of their lives have changed through the ages, like how Pinkie and Fluttershy settles down with Cheese and Discord, the CMC becoming teachers at the school and the new pony offspring too. I really love the final song and the ending, it is very wholesome and beautiful, enough to bring tears to my eyes. Blank, I wanna sincerely thank you for providing great reactions to this great series. You’ve brought me so much joy with each episode that came around. You’re awesome and I always look forward to your content. Thanks again!

What truly made me cry was Twilight grew up into her true Alicorn form but the rest of the girls growing old. It's so sad to think that she's immortal now.. And they're all so old.. Been a good ride! I remember watching the first episode when it was released. Ended how it began! Hell of a ride!

AppleDash is canon. ... Oh, RarityDash is NOT gonna be happy about that. He doesn't get his ship in EQG due to RareJack and now the main Universe keeps it from him with AppleDash. He is not gonna be happy. 18:25 I do have to say, the rest of the Mane 6's immortality chose a very interesting time to kick in, thus leaving them at their current physical states. Yes, I know there's no confirmation that the Mane 6 are all immortal, but there's no confirmation that they AREN'T all immortal either, plus Twilight IS now ruler of Equestria so either she is immortal and the others are too or she would have to find an heir herself as it has been stated over and over that she will not outlive her friends. With what we've been shown, to me, that means all six of them are immortal. That's my interpretation and that's that. If anyone doesn't agree with me, that's their decision but they cannot prove to me otherwise. 22:46 hello, Spike's daughter. And here's a hint: Rarity isn't her mother 😉 26:04 Sunset's in the show! Sunset's in the show! It is literally a blink and you'll miss it moment, but Sunset is right there in the background. Now, beyond any Shadow of the smallest doubt, NO ONE can say Equestria Girls is not canon to the show. The Sirens appearing in season 7's finale started to quiet down the argument, but THIS ENDS IT. Sunset Shimmer has officially appeared in the show, solidifying the movies and show are one in the same! This, combined with every else in the episode, the confirmation of ships, the just vague enough suggestions of other ships to be open to anyone's interpretation, seeing how so many of the characters' lives are in the future and, finally, ending the show by closing the book that literally started it all. This was a brilliant end to an amazing show. MLP has changed my life for the better in so many ways that I never could've imagined 8 years ago. I am a better person for it and I want thank Hasbro, Lauren Faust, Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, Andrea Lidmen, Tabatha St. Germain, Cathy Wesluck, Rebecca Socheit, Nicole Oliver and all the other voice actors who brought this show to life and made it so amazing.

Apple-Dash is confirmed by several scenes. The 'argument' on entering the throne room, which is a long term couple's type of 'bickering' between themselves... and a quick scene showing Dash fluttering above and behind Apple Jack, with one of Dash's hooves placed protectively atop Apple Jack's head. What amazes me is that so many missed the background scene where Bon Bon proposes to Lyra, only to have Lyra whip out her own proposal ring as well. This was in the two-part lead up to the final episode, which then had a Ponyville Gazette article about Lyra and Bon Bon's wedding. Other articles include: Cranky's toupee shop, Derpy's Muffin Shop, a notice of Ra-Ra's pending concert engagement in ponyville, amongst others.

The story we grew up with, or the story we grew to love has faded fast, and it seems that not too long ago I was exited for season 4. The memories we've made, the smiles we've shown, the tears we've shed, all because of a cartoon with pastel, magical horses. MLP has help us grow... "Things may come and things may go. well, it all depends upon when you 'grew up'. I grew up watching things like Space Ghost, Clutch Cargo, and Johnny Quest. Later, I was watching things like Silver Hawks and Thunder Cats. And now, My Little Pony. All were 'good' at the time. All were eventually eclipsed by other shows. In 30 years, will you really be able to say that MLP was the greatest? I doubt it. But, like me and all those other older shows, you will still have a nostalgic liking for them in the future. Frank-ly speaking.

This show started when I was around 8 (around 3rd grade I believe?), and now I'm a senior in High School... This show has been with me for most of my life, and it's so bittersweet. Everyone is all grown up, and that makes me happy. Seeing the Mane 6, Student 6, CMC, and background characters just be older and live their lives made me tear up. The bitter part, however, is that the show is over. We don't get to see them like this ever again for newer episodes. If the new Generation does happen, I hope it will be just as good as this (though I hope they don't use the same characters again.. It would be really strange).

The ending was great. I'm slightly ambivalent about AppleDash--I never shipped it, but I'd have been more willing to accept it as canon if there were, you know, some actual build up to it. Or chemistry that wasn't "I wanna be better than you!" On the flipside, I have a mighty need to see Pinkie and Cheese's wedding! That must've been crazy!

blank, when i was a kid in the mlp fandom you were one of my favorite youtubers, i was subbed to you when you had under 5k and i loved your content so much. during middle school i grew out of mlp and abandoned the fandom. but here i am at 17 years old, just rewatched all the episodes i missed so i could see the finale. i bawled my eyes out. and now a few months later i get a recommendation for this video and my mind exploded. i had forgotten about your channel. when i clicked on this video and the intro played i got such a wave of nostalgia. i regret leaving the fandom because i thought i was too old for mlp, and i hate how much i missed out on. but i hope you’ve been well, and continue to thrive. thank you for being a big part of my childhood.

Man, I had to catch up on a season and a half of the show getting to this point (I started this show with a kinda binge watch, and I finished it with a kinda binge watch, seems fitting). I'm glad the show ended here instead of last episode. It was an epic fight, but I think this worked better as a sendoff, especially seeing everything in the future. Although i'm not sure about the implication that twilight is going to outlive everyone. It's kinda fitting, I started watching this show when I started college, and now that i'm wrapping up college, this show ends. And i'm glad you're going to keep doing stuff, you're one of my favorite MLP reactors. i'm curious what you'll be up to next.
