My favorite part, as well. I'll admit, it took me the entire season six to get on the Starlight bandwagon, but looking at the two characters objectively, I realize they aren't as similar as I used to think. Also love how he frames Sunset here. Everyone used to say she was a terrible villain, and they're right. Because she's not a "villain". She's an angst ridden, angry teenager trying to stick it to Celestia by stealing what she thought she deserved. I don't even think she had any plans for the crown besides swiping it. The "teenage zombie invasion" was just a product of the magical corruption. I'm not saying I suddenly like the first EQ movie now, it still kinda sucks compared to the subsequent movies. But I appreciate what they were going for, at least.

In my opinion, Starlight was a great villain, but I didn't like her reformation an backstory, which makes the show kind of not as enjoyable now. Sunset is the opposite, weak as a villain, but super interesting backstory and great reformation arc. Pretty interesting

Dude, Monster High is very good. They do the whole school setting right. It's about supernatural being teens going to high school and doing stuff (I forgot what exactly). Also the movies are very entertaining, great CGI animation.

Generation 2 is probably a nice step up as well. Still have yet to see Electrified but Welcome to Monster High was definitely an upgrade after Volume 1's webisodes and New Ghoul @ School. The new dolls stop motion episodes were good fun as well.

I'd say give it a fair shot. Sadly, the series is staring from ground zero (Welcome to Monster High is on the school's founding in the new canon) so classic mainstays like Ghoulia, most of the Wolf family, and HHM Bloodgood are gone for the moment and others like Venus and Toralei get generic backgrounder treatment for the first outing. On the bright side, we get a wider variety of monster body types to liven the setting, the music is enjoyable, we finally get to see Dracula and Clawdeen's mom on-screen, and the new stuff has fight scenes. So yeah. I'm having a blast so far.

Well the fact that people are forgetting is that horses mature at a different rate then humans and usually DIE at 30 - 40 sometimes 50 if their lucky and depending on the breed of horse SO point being they could be 12-15 and be an adult be horse standards and not human ones and besides that most Equestria is based around a medieval time frame not on the technological side but the political and even the more modernized areas hint at a medieval theme and back then the legal age of an adult was around 12-13 thus adding another point of the mane six being alot younger then people assume them to be

Every time I see anything related to this movie, I feel the need to make this rant, so here we go again. I agree with what this guy said about Sunset, she is better as a hero, not a villain, which is why they should've just made her a hero in the beginning, because if they did, Twilight would've never verbally chastised Sunset. I know Sunset was bad, but I'm sorry, I cannot support what Twilight did. I cannot support Twilight chewing out Sunset when she was already broken, beaten, and humiliated in the middle of a crater and BTW, was crying when she transformed, meaning she clearly didn't know she would turn into a demon.Also, you should do commentary on Monster High.

Ira Sutton, I'm going to tell you something and I want you to listen very carefully. What Sunset did throughout the movie were, in some form or another, acts of bullying. As such, when a person behaves like a bully, a responsible authority figure (in this case, Twilight who is a princess) has to chide them for their actions, no matter what the circumstances. It's not just bullying. When people do bad things in general, they need to be reprimanded for them. They have to be told what they did was wrong and face the consequences so they can be reminded not to do it again. Why do you think we have things like detention or jail? For these reasons and more, I speak on behalf of everyone when I say that Twilight was in the right to chew out Sunset and her apologizing for doing so will never happen because it would be like apologizing to Osama bin Ladin for giving him a hard time about causing 9/11.

I know what Sunset did, but seeing her crying in pain from OBVIOUSLY not knowing she would turn into a demon , seeing her lying in the middle of that crater, and then Twilight rubbing salt in the wound and shoving it in her face and was not a good thing to see. Twilight did not handle that situation the way a princess of FRIENDSHIP should.

Keep in mind that this was before Twilight officially gained the title of the Princess of Friendship. At this point, she was just a princess. Anyway, Twilight wasn't trying to rub Sunset's defeat in her face. What she did was basically the equivalent of a parent or teacher scolding a child when they've misbehaved. Just because someone is crying or in pain does not excuse them from being told what they did was wrong. As for Sunset, even though she did say "I'm not a monster" that line was rendered null and void the moment she turned into Demon Shimmer. She may have cried during the transformation sequence, but she was still excited that she became a literal monster and planned to take over Equestria with the students of Canterlot High as her brainwashed minions. I'd say that's deserves a little scolding. Once again, Twilight apologizing to Sunset for chewing her out would be like apologizing to Hitler for reprimanding him about leading the Nazis to commit genocide against the Jews.

Her 'excitement' as you say was because of the influence of the crown. She wasn't ready for that kind of power and it overtook her. And I'm sorry if I have a heart for feeling sorry for someone when they cry and realizing they never meant to turn into a demon, but I do! Twilight should've just helped Sunset out of the crater and left it at that, because Sunset DID NOT KNOW SHE WOULD TURN INTO A DEMON!! And if you say, 'well maybe she didn't see Sunset Shimmer crying,' thing, well that's almost excusable, ALMOST, but you know who did see Sunset cry? You did. I'm not saying you shouldn't feel bad for someone when they're crying. There's nothing wrong with that. But even before she turned into a demon, Sunset had done quite a few misdeeds which she still needed to be called out for. She drove apart 5 girls who were very close friends, terrorized an entire student body like a dictator, stole a princess' crown, tried to humiliate and then frame her competition for felony, and kidnapped their pet to use as a hostage to get their crown. Be honest; if someone did all of this stuff to you or your friends, would you let them off the hook without so much as a slap on the wrist?
