It's amazing that Hansi can still sing the at the edge of time..... part just like this or better in his mid 50s. He is a monster.

One of the best live performing bands EVER. maybe the best in this kind of music. It´s even better than in the albuns versions. Impressive. Saw them once and... it was something I'll never forget. And this is one of my favourite songs also. Best Album Imaginations on the other side, along with nightfall in middle earth.

@TheRaymondStantz Look my friend, nothing happened to Hansi and Blind Guardian still pwn more than ever. Just they didnt do the mistake to stick to a successful recipe and repeat themselves many times.They constantly explore and invent new parts of the Power Metal genre and that's why they are the best Power Metal musicians out there. And i think that they have contributed to Power MEtal as much as Kai Hansen :) Cheers.

It's funny 'cause when you're actually seeing them live, Hansi doesn't need to do half the vocals. The crowd provides all the layering, and you barely even notice he's only singing the lowest notes xD They're so insane live though. And they have the best fanbase. Most intense crowd I've ever been in that didn't have a mosh pit. Just sweaty guys headbangin' to amazing music. Heaven.

im 100% sure that im not the only one who thinks that Blind Guardian Deserves way too more that this. Im blaming people for this. They dont know the true music nor true metal. It is not bunch of ppl screaming. Its just the theme you choose to express music. music ? it is love and pain, loneliness and hope, it is just all the feelings you can express at same time and BG is doing it as best it could be done

"In its progress, like a dilation into infinity, i perceive the mysterious presence of the most contradictory feelings ever to inhabit a human soul. I am simultaneously happy and unhappy, exalted and depressed, overcome by both pleasure and despair in the most contradictory harmonies. I am so cheerful and yet so sad that my tears reflect at once both heaven and earth. if only for the joy of my sadness, i wish there were no death on this earth. - Emile Cioran in 'On The Heights of Despair'.

I can't wait to see them in August at Bloodstock, this is going to be epic, as for his weight, i'm sure he gives a shit while 50,000 people are singing to his songs , and doing some serious hero worship, the man's voice is amazing, you don't need to have a certain weight for that
@AlexAndrasch6915 жыл бұрын
hmh... I recon you have a very good point there... BUT I gotta say one thing: there are different types of Metal! So, yes, Blind Guardian rise above the average types of Metal - like Thrash, Black, Death. I would call their style Power or Speed Metal. (look it up in Wikipedia or something). Though in one thing we are all the same opinion, BG play epic music. They're just the best.

@Altairograph While I know that the band's fans love them like no one else, we all know that isnt going to happen. Metal has no place in pop culture, it's always been a culture of outsiders. Metal wouldnt be metal if everyone liked it.
