People just did. Not. Stop. Chanting. This was the last song of the set, but afterwards a whole bunch of people sat down for a bit of rowing and kept on singing. And singing. And singing. Some dropped out, others joined in. People began to dance in a circle around the rowers. Some brought cups of beer and water to keep them going. Blind Guardian was long gone, and Kamelot was setting up for their show, but still people kept on singing. And singing. And singing. A full hour passed, and still the cry of "Valhalla, deliverance" resounded. Only when Kamelot actually started playing did I stop hearing the rowers, but it wouldn't surprise me if even now, one or two of them are still out there in the mud, rowing, demanding, "Why've you ever forgotten me?"

What an unforgettable moment would this be. Sad to miss it as I was one of the crowd left after the gig to catch another one.
