I noted while the guy told him to not cheat the uncle and give him his money back, one of the girls was busy taking photos of him, When he handed over his bag to one of the girls I thought oh oh here we go its all on, wisely he went and handed the uncle the correct money. The English sub missed how these Good Samaritan addressed the actor, the young people called him either grandpa (爺爺) or senior elder (大爺), middle age called him senior uncle (大爺), a way to show closeness and respect.
