in middle school my art class did something similar to this.. you were given a big paper, and you had to draw for 45 seconds nonstop. Every 45 seconds, you passed your paper over to the next person. After about 5-10 minutes you see what monstrosity started from your creation ( My group's ended up being a penguin marrying a flamingo with a very elaborate audience.. I thiiiink the flamingo had intended to be a dragon at the start but the next person saw it wrong XD )

@@Mrfanofsonic It helps your hand-eye coordination as well as making sure you are drawing what you ACTUALLY see, not what you think you're seeing (and consequently filling in). Source: Art student that just graduated.

@@NumaNoom149 as a current art ed student, i can second this. When I do it I have a habit of going over areas 5 or 6 times though, so my blind drawings look like fever dreams
