The (De)Tour sessions were during Covid lockdown… Internet concerts in lieu of touring. What other band did that for their fans? "I expect more from other bands, now!" Hilarious statement… Lzzy Hale's initial reaction to seeing The Warning open for her band, Halestorm, on tour was to tell her band they needed to go practice! What a great compliment to The Warning! Halestorm was one of The Warning's idol bands growing up, and now *Halestorm* are such huge fans of The Warning that Lzzy GAVE Dany a Gibson Explorer guitar in the middle of a set. Later, Matt Bellamy of Muse had a custom Manson guitar made for Dany after The Warning opened for them on two separate tours. It speaks volumes to your character as a human and prowess as a musician when your idols care enough to give you great tools of your trade.

Besides being chill and cool, Alejandra is the best baby sister. She was the one comforting Paulina who was in tears after the Teatro Metroplitan concert was over. She's also the queen of non- verbal communication. Her eye rolls or shooing the camera away without saying anything. But, at home she talks a lot. And don't get her mad, like Dany found out one time after playing Mario Cart. The bass work in all of their songs are 🔥. She is the Goddess of Thunder. Her talent is why Spector bass signed her at age 13 / 14 and 16 had a custom bass ans a signature bass named "Ale's Inferno." You don't get those without being seriously talented.

This is one of those milestone videos for them, like their 2014 cover of Enter Sandman which went viral and basically launched their careers. This one happened during the pandemic for an 8 hour benefit livestream. They had just signed a 5 record deal with Lava Records and they were introduced by the head of Lava, Jason Flom. During the livestream Lzzy Hale from the band Halestorm jumped in the chat and said she wanted them to tour with her. Fast forward two years and they toured together for months in 2022. One more thing, during the livestream, due to popular demand this video was played for a second time, the only replay done for that event.

One of the many things that this band excels at is the ability to recognize an opportunity when it appears and then take full advantage of it. As stated, this performance led to the Halestorm connection, an invite to tour, and a great deal of exposure for the ladies. When the chance was offered they were fully prepared to be great tour partners. This led to more doors opening for them, if given the chance to perform, they deliver and win over any crowd they play in front of.

Great observation about Ale. She is the one that holds it all together. She is the reason the other two can do what they do. She holds it down, she keeps the time, and moves the songs forward with her work on the bass. It's subtle and not easy to pick up on unless you look for it. That allows Pau to be a bit flashier on the drums, and gives Dany the ability to do the lead work while Ale does double duty as bass and rhythm guitar.

Ale has been writing bass lines like that since she was 8-9 years old. If you go to their channel and watch stuff from the cave and other places in their home, you will see how they pronounce each others names.

All three of the young ladies are sweethearts. Ale is indeed more reserved, Pau is really rather outspoken and Dany has genuine passion to just have fun in all situations. You can get a good impression of their personalities in their interviews and mini-documentaries. One mini doc I recommend is "Mayday In The Making" that is a six part docu-series that came out on KZbin April of 2022.

There is a long list of the quiet bass players. John Paul Jones. John Deacon. John McVie. Ale (pronounced AH-lay) is another one. But don't be confused for a second. The other two say that Ale is the stage general. You screw up, you get one of those looks from Ale. Her timing is impeccable. In a three-piece band there is no room for someone who cannot pull their weight. Ale is so solid.

Yeah, Alé is as cool as a cucumber she’s also a very talented bass player! All of the band were and still are Artists of the manufacturers of their instruments from a very early age. Alé now has her own signature model of her Spector bass called Ale’s Inferno (after the wood of the top of the body and its finish. Dany is an Artist for Rick Toone guitars, he’s a bespoke luthier who made the guitar she’s using here, it’s called the Spearfish it has an aluminum neck and is multiscale (Fan fret). She’s also an artist of PRS guitars which is what she mostly uses currently. Pau is an artist for Sabian cymbals and DW drums and Vic Firth drumsticks; pretty impressive! OMG! Girly giggling mode 😂 you’re so sweet!

*Dull Knives* a dull knife tears instead of making a clean cut... torn wounds are very hard to repair... in this 9th song of the concept album, "Queen of the Murder Scene" (aka QOTMS), the Queen is considering suicide as one way to possibly stop her evil side from taking hold... by using a dull knife, she is making it harder for someone to stop the bleeding and save her if she is found before she expires... in another of the songs on the QOTMS album, *Sinister Smiles* , the lyrics talk about the water in a tub turning red from blood... this is seen as a feminine way of suicide because the tub would keep the mess all contained and not mess up other parts of the location... to me, the lyric "I'm plucking roses but keeping the thorns!" is about seeing, gathering, and embracing beauty while retaining only the darkness and gloom that was used to create and protect that beauty... that's some pretty deep stuff, there! Ale isn't shy, she likes to be the introvert on stage, just do her thing brilliantly. If you watch videos behind the scenes and at home she is quite the teen. This is another song from their rock opera, Queen of the a Murder Scene. It's from later in the story than Ugh, which you did earlier today. There's a couple of different interpretations of this one. One train of thought is that this is the Queen self mutilating and attempting suicide. The other is that she's going on to kill others after her first murder destroyed her psyche. Either way it's brutal AF.

I don't think you're exaggerating, when I listen to The Warning I get the impression they are setting a new standard for everyone else. I mean, they seem Iconic like Metallica, but with any other band there are songs l like and songs I don't really like... I have NEVER heard a warning song I didn't like, and most of them are just amazeballs in the wtf realm. You have seasoned MTV stage directors on hot mic with "Holy Shit" moments. I think they're the real deal, there's just something about them that feels like an evolution of the game. As you say, really good energy around them. There's a clip of pau being happy that they went to a concert and there was fake The Warning merch: "yay, we're worth fake merch!" That's how genuine and positive they are.

Ale is a cool, calm rock Monster on Bass. She is so talented, it's scary. She was a Spector artist at 13 and they made her a custom Bass at 15. She is naturally shy, but she is VERY smart and has a sharp wit. She doesn't say much in interviews, but when she does, her older sisters shut up and listen. I feel bad for her sometimes because she sacrificed much of her childhood for the band, but then again, she is 19 year old internationally known Rock Star. So there's that. LOL

The lead singer/guitarist was inspired by The Warning when she was 12yrs old, and started self teaching herself guitar. Check out their release, "GLITCH". You"ll be impressed!

I could write a page on each one of these girls, so talented and each one unique, but when I rave about one of them, I feel guilty about leaving out the other two. They fit together like a glove to create the amazing sound that is The Warning.

Because this is a three piece band and they are really good musicians/composers/arrangers none of the instruments just does one thing. Ale (Ah-leh) does the traditional bass guitar, rhythm guitar, and guitar harmony/unison with Dany (Dan-nee). Pau (POW! like the sound she makes) does not just keep the beat, she does a lot of extra fills and variations to enhance the vocal line. Dany does lead and rhythm guitar. When writing they all work on all the parts. So it sounds like a four or five piece band with only three of them. They (along with everyone else in the music industry) had planned to go on tour in 2020. They played one show and the tour stopped. So a bunch of musicians virtually got together to make the De-Tour show where they all played from home or in their studio. This performance was part of the De-Tour which is why they are so actively performing in the Warning Cave. Normally they are much more relaxed at home.
