Congratulations on deviating from the norm and covering a song most people overlook! It's actually quite a refreshing song for Rush!

Every song Playing for Change does is gold. I like Carlos Santana doing Oye Como Va with his wife on drums. That Latin rhythm gets me every time.

That entire intro you loved is the intro to Xanadu. The tune is 10 min long

No backing tracks everything is triggered and played live. Remember this band is the heavy weights of progressive music. There is no equal

It's sad when you listen to the line " I won't be home for Christmas, it's just another year" , when you remember they've been refugees ever since Putin's attack upon their homeland drove them from their homes. Stand with Ukraine!

Drop the speed (trust me I was hooked for 19yrs, been clean for ... Actually 5 yrs, lucky me with a brain stroke and all). Read the book, listen to the song and cry like me! I heard this one when it came out, read the book and have been a fan (with tears) ever since. After you've truly understood the the book, read The Lady of Shalott by Lord Tennyson to understand where this came from... I beg you, you do not have to thank me in public, just spare me a thank deep in your mind - and it is not embarrassing to cry, not even in public!💙

He was playing an Ostanato pattern, meaning he was playing a repeating rhythm with his foot while playing several different rhythms and drum patterns at the same time. Very hard to do and it's commonly heard in Latin music

Red Sector A is a song about Geddy's(the lead singers) parents surviving the holocaust during ww2 and migrating to Canada.

Please do a reaction of La villa strangiato on the Hemispheres album by Rush. It's an instrumental. Neil Peart is a great compositional drummer. And he is very orchestral in his approach. I would recommend checking out Permanent Waves, Fly By Night, Hold Your Fire, Signals, Grace Under Pressure, Roll the bones, Power Windows is really heavy on synth, 2112, All great albums and each uniquely different.

I bet you would really love the live recording of this song - recorded in 2014 during Kate's 21 night residency at the Hammersmith in London. There's a lot to say about just that but I love the live recording of Cloudbusting. I think it was the closing song for the whole night. The crowd gets involved singing the background chorus and their energy and excitement are palpable. The song and energy just build and build and then the train roaring and screeching to end the song. It had to have been a standing ovation and Kate was just gobsmacked. Give it a listen you'll love it.

Led Zeppelin made a song called 'Dazed and confused' that made you FEEL Dazed and Confused. It's genius. And yes, the older music...y'all listen to music...we FELT music. It was different.

I saw every single Rush concert at least once per tour since 1986 and I never once saw Neil drop that stick. Even one tour when he had the flu and looked like death warmed over with a towel on his head. These guys gave it all for their fans! RIP Neil

Thank you for including The Trees in this montage. Almost no reactors do that. There actually is a short little guitar instrumental before The Trees, called "Broon's Bane" which makes the trifecta medley. But I'll pick up what you are putting down!

Fun fact, this was Rush's second biggest crowd ever, with 40,000 people. Their biggest concert was one night earlier in Sao Paulo with 60,000 people!

I'm surprised StickHits did their magic on this concert from 2002. Normally they work on older, unreleased videos from the 80s and 90s. But the Rush in Rio looked and sounded pretty clean as it was released.
