Honestly if we do get the option to save the Lotus she’ll probably be on the orbiter with us. From what I’ve seen it wouldn’t make sense to get rid of the Lotus that easily since she’s been a big part of the journey we’ve all been on since first starting the game. We might have to kill the Natah side to save the Lotus however she might not go back to how she looked before but she’ll definitely be on our side again.

Actually I have a theory on how they can kill the lotus and natah without removing the space mom thing. its a stretch but if I'm right prepare for a shocker. this is purely speculation and probable wont happen but what if we get Margulis back, the OG space mom, now I know she's supposed to be dead but im not so sure what if she escaped and the Orokin lied about it like they tried to lie and hide info about the zaramon and through the power of the void and the unam in cetus where the sentient battle takes place based of the teaser, we get her back and she replaces the lotus as space mom and since she never really died it doesn't break continuity and since natah aka lotus based her form and personality of Margulis not much would have to change... That's why they show her here in the trailer because its relevant. Again a very big stretch and probably wont happen but I like the theory

@@JSPYRO I would like that resolution a lot. Getting Margulis back from her imprisonment would be a nice wrap up. I am a little confused about what Ballas was doing with the mimic lotus though. What if Ballas found a way to put Margulis into the sentient mimic to avoid imprisonment and her love for the tenno overrides the sentients nature at the end... This is going to be fun!

I'm really hoping that we won't have to kill Space Mom. The final scene looks so tough. She's charging her void beam while looking at Natah, tears streaming down her face. It's giving STRONG "I don't wanna do this... But you're leaving me no choice" vibes.

Same but at the same time if she really was brainwashed by ballas and never really loved us would I really brainwash her again for love? and wouldn't that be fake love? and is that enough?... this decision is gonna suck soooo bad lol.. provided we get a choice

9:48 I believe she wasn't pushed out by the weapon but she transferenced herself right when she got hit. And it created the effect of her being pushed.

My hope is that we get a choice, whether to kill Natah or not. A lot of people are on either side of that, and I think the biggest nod to that separation DE could make would be to figure out a way to give us a choice, and still keep the narrative flowing forward. However, if we don't have a choice...the bigger story beat would be for us to kill her, and I hope that happens. Not because I personally want to do it, but...I want the story to be emotional and have a huge impact. Lots of stories in gaming try for big emotion and feels, but... To be the one to end Natah ourselves...there are very few games, whether looter style or not, that could really match the impact of that. Also, I do hope they make some use of the karma choices, we should get some closure on that at some point. Fingers crossed.

The New War trailer requires a lot of insider info and knowledge of the history and lore -- but if you know, IT WAS SOOOOOO GOOD!!! It really hits you in the feels. I may be the only one here with this thought process and feeling: But I actually DON'T want to kill Natah/The Lotus. In the same way that the cinematic Tenno/Operator cried when facing Natah and getting ready to strike her down, I would probably do the same and ugly cry in real life. She will always be "Space Mom." To quote a line from Disney Star Wars: "I know what I have to do, but I don't know if I have the strength to do it..." [My Reasoning] 1) On one hand -- Sure, yes, as Teshin so eloquently stated, we (the player/the Tenno) were deceived and mislead about a lot of things (not outright lied to, just certain information was withheld from us by The Lotus/Natah. But then again, we the player/Tenno never questioned The Lotus about it either -- what we were doing, why were doing it, and what her motives were.). Whether that information was truly necessary or needed still remains to be seen. However, given the past interactions with The Lotus, I'm positive that if we were upfront with her and asked, she would have answered. 2) Sure, yes, "The Lotus" was merely an adopted persona in the likeness of the original Orokin Archimedean Margulis, who was the adoptive "mother," caretaker, and defender of the orphaned Zariman Ten Zero children (Tenno). Natah/The Lotus did this by copying Margulis's image from the dreams and memories of the Tenno. Sure, yes, "The Lotus" is in actuality a Sentient Mimic named "Natah" who is one of the Sentient Leaders akin to a Princess (Daughter of Hunhow, Sister of Erra). And sure, yes, Natah's original objective and plan may have been to infiltrate the Orokin Empire who were the Makers of the Sentient race, and destroy them from within. However, Natah being a Sentient and therefore unable to reproduce and bare children due to Orokin design, began to actually care for and love the Tenno in the same way that Margulis did. Being a Sentient with the unique ability to "adapt," I wouldn't put it past Sentients to be able to adapt mentally and emotionally as well as physically. 3) The Sentient Natah actually fears her father (Hunhow, Sentient Destroyer of Worlds) and his unwavering hatred, control, and influence over the Sentient race. Especially since The Lotus revealed during The Second Dream quest that Hunhow's ability is to infiltrate and invade the consciousness of another and take control of them (As seen with his vast control over the Sentient Drones and when he attempted to seize control of Cephalon Suda) (Note: Hunhow's original body was destroyed on Uranus -- only his consciousness remains). Natah decides to outright betray him and refuses to comply with his order to finish the final sequence of the Old War by destroying the Tenno. Instead, Natah chooses to hide the Tenno in "The Second Dream" to preserve them for they were innocent and not a part of the War between the Sentients and their tyrannical makers, the Orokin. ......... The Lotus states that she chose of her own accord and free will, to leave her old life behind as the Sentient Natah, and to be "The Lotus" moving forward. However, during the Natah quest, Lotus was frantically trying to cover her tracks to avoid her father, Hunhow, from finding her, brain-washing her, and forcing her back into being the Sentient Natah. 4) It's unclear exactly what "The Makers," The Orokin, did to Natah/The Lotus and why her memories are so hazy. Or whether Natah's memories are hazy from an attempted infiltration by her father, Hunhow. However, Natah states a false narrative to us during The Jovian Concord quest, where she informs the Tenno that our belief that she spared us as an act of mercy was false; rather, Natah was being forced into doing so by the Orokin. However, we in fact know that this is a lie considering the Orokin Archimedean Margulis was sentenced to death for the crime of going against the "The Seven's" (Orokin societies) wishes of wanting to destroy the Tenno children out of fear of their powers. However, despite all of the above, the fact still remains that Natah stepped in after Margulis's death at the hands of The Seven for her work in attempting to save the Tenno. Even if "The Lotus" was a fake, Natah did protect us (The Tenno/The Player). Natah consistently guided, taught, and helped us. In fact, even now, Natah continues to help us even if it's through hidden coded messages and means. Like Natah sending a coded message that she is dying during the Orphyx Venum operation. Perhaps Natah is simply being controlled by Hunhow through Erra's dead body and is being forced to finish the war by Hunhow for her "spark." FOr this reason, maybe Natah actually wants us to kill her and end this cycle.

Yeah. If we get that decision, I can’t do it. Lotus is the only true comfort we’ve had through this whole thing. I guess Ordis is a good “friend/companion” but, most keep/kept us at arms length. That’s seen by us literally having to climb up the ranks in any civilian faction we come across. They all start off very hesitant towards us, our rank is literally “Outsider”. Lotus/Margulis from the time she was on the Narimon until she returned to Natah’s true form, was the only one to NEVER approach us with contempt or be afraid of us. The whole system saw us as either monsters or war machines. And even though she would have to teach us how to be those things, we were always children FIRST in her eyes. Her children 🥲 Oh, Christ don’t make me do it DE 😫😅😅😅
