Another great battle Tim. I'm loving this. I see a lot of the bourbon guys using this concept every year but to my knowledge you are the only one doing this with Scotch whisky. Keep it up. I would love this to become an annual event

Glad you enjoy it! This group was really evenly matched! Cheers

Fill out your "bracket" here in the comments: who is going to win this tasting flight? Who's going to win the next 2 (the whiskies are listed in groups in the description above)?

Top 2 is a tough choice! Could swing either way for me! Both delicious

Fair enough!

Ok I guessed the Aberfeldy but the rest surprised me. This Cu Bocan I have not tried but from the one I have tried it was way more smokier than Benromachs so I'd put it on a sperate list :) I love the Balblair 15 and the Benromach 15 but palates are different of course. Cool battle though Tim enjoyed watching this, cheers 🥃

Thanks! That Benromach is strong. Very worthy competitor.

At first I liked the Benromach 15, but after some drams I think there's too much peppery wood notes for my taste.

That's fair. Cheers!

Great battle. But are the prices in your market similar for these? In my market Cu Bocan (around 135 dollars) is almost double the Benromach 15 (around 75 dollars), so for me that makes the Benromach the winner, the Cu Bocan is not that much better than the Benromach.

These tastings don't take value into account, since the samples came from the same place, and the tastings are blind. Factoring in the relative prices (let alone scarcity) of these bottles would lead to a lot of different rankings. Cheers!
