They had good lighting to put emphasis on certain portions. Loved those what Kongo-a? Drums. Like that instrument reminds me Of Donkey Kong cuz quite literally in that game (SSBU especially during the final smash) he beats the shit out of those drums for Different segments

It’s absolutely amazing that the vocals are on par of the Crimson Blitz version from Lightning’s Return. An then the vocals from XIII’s Will To Fight! The XIII trilogy is just simply one of my favorites from the series. I don’t care what anyone bashing on the games have to say.

@@lightning5420 and it's funny when they say Lightning is bland and her personality sucks, I mean how can they know if they never truly absorbed her story and where she's coming from? Starting from FFXIII through LR, what would you do if everything that is happening in your life suddenly became all messed up? In reality, a lot of people was so weak they will tend to just give up and worse, they take their own life right? How much more if some gods made you a l'cie, a protector of Valhalla, then a savior unknowingly bound to be a replacement of Etro which clearly f*cked your life up. You, as a normal human being who only wishes to live a simple life with your loved ones? All that just for their own twisted and selfish needs? I know I don't but Lightning only did what she thought was right at the moment but it doesn't mean it isn't wrong. I remembered her saying that in Lightning Returns. She ended up finding her actions was unfortunately always wrong thus her last mistake cost the life of her sister Serah. Her unforgivable sin. Sure she came across as mean and cold during the first part of FFXIII but that's reasonable. She's tormented by her stupid actions towards her sister and there she was moving forward in hopes of saving her to make up for it and while she was on the process, she was made a l'cie herself and without any idea what their Focus was. Another result of her reckless actions she also acknowledge and regretted. People also tend to forget that one of Lightning's qualities is that she has an untrusting nature as a soldier. Also the fact that she needed to be strong for her sister since the day their parents died. She doesn't want to depend on others as much as possible. What? Do they expect her to open up to others the moment they ask her about herself, her sister and why was she after the Fal'cie? She was pushing away Hope but that's because she knew the path she chose to tread alone was a lot more dangerous and she can barely protect herself, let alone if being with a kid. But still her softer side won, so she allowed him to tag along. She gradually became warm and caring towards him because her past self clearly reflected on a vengeful Hope which made her realize what she did in the past and what Hope was doing at that moment was all wrong. She tried to correct it by encouraging Hope to stop his revenge with Snow saying that it can only appease the hatred in his heart but it cannot change a thing in reality. It will not bring his mother back to life. She also learned to trust the people around her and found hope through their optimism especially with Snow. Though she first thought his optimism was ridiculous and laughable, she started to believe him because she accepted the fact that she was in reality just helpless and can't do things alone. She became a total sweetheart in the last few chapters. Can't even count how many times she apologized. Even promising Hope she won't abandon him even though they are not related. Finding Oerba was already in ruins, she understood how Vanille must've been feeling at that point so she asked her if she would like to just stay and wait. Saying that they will stick and defy their fate together and accepting Snow as a part of her family. She only retains her cold and brave persona in order to fight, but deep inside she's a tender hearted woman. All that and still they have the audacity to call her a rude and selfish bitch? Which part of her was bland? I honestly think she had every reason to be mad at the universe and spit fire on those gods. She won't be in that situation if it wasn't for them. To me, her character development was one, if not the most realistic in the entire franchise. My favorite protag was Squall but now that I'm already an adult I realized that he doesn't really changed that much by the end of the FF8, he's still the same stoic teenager (P.S I found him suddenly being smitten by Rinoa after brushing her off consistently very odd.) Lightning on the other hand did and a whole lot. P.S. Sorry for the long comment. I thought I was eternally bound to defend this game throughout my lifetime because it doesn't deserve all the hate it gets especially Lightning. Also, edited for additional comments and any grammatical inaccuracy.
