Thank you for noticing that :). I really don't want to have what we called "rose colored glasses" when reviewing a product. In other words, I want to make sure that I don't think positively about something just because I got it for free. I really hope it helps people make the decision that is right for them :).

Normally I'm not interested in ukulele reviews cause I already own some nice instruments. But as I follow your channel I decided to watch this video and I must say that I was really impressed how fair your review was. To me, as an advanced beginner, it was good to see, that you tested the ukulele at higher frets. As far as I know that is the most difficult "area" for any ukulele. They all can sound good on the top frets where your students played it. It was heart warming to watch you listening carefully during your test what made me even trust more in what you're doing and I must say that Enya found a great reviewer in a person like you... Hopefully they do know that. 😉 Last but not least I won't forget to mention the most important thing... even the most affordable instrument sounds good when it is accompanied by your singing!!! Have a nice day, Katie and thank you for all the great work.

You made my day. I can't thank you enough for watching, and I'm so incredibly grateful that you left me a comment that was so encouraging. Thank you. I put so much time and effort into my reviews. In fact, it takes me three times as long to make a review video than a tutorial. Thank you for noticing the detail that I put into the reviewing products. Your encouragement meant the world to me, and I'm so happy that it helped you. Thank you again, and I hope you have a great day :).

Awesome! Thanks so much for watching. I was surprised as well, and I’m glad I had them try a blind sound test. I guess it goes to show that the aesthetic of the uke is great, but it’s great to just heart and feel it to truly know if it’s right for you. I hope this helped ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

☝🎶🏡 Enya ukuleles are impressive. This is a great deal with the included items, it looks and sounds good too. The strings going thru the bridge, has a very clean look, and strap buttons are included! Like the sound of those strings, bonus to have the two string choices, and the gig bag, it's blue inside! All those extras at this price point is amazing. My first uke didn't come with a gig bag, or anything Enya included. If I had bought all the accessories that Enya provided it would of cost the price of this uke package, wow. Nice to hear your students objective opinions. Helps to hear other's thoughts when researching a uke. That was cool, I see your second student knows the value of a good uke perfume. By the time I tapped Yes to the question, I saw 89% agreed and would buy this Enya ukulele. Yeah, I like. Great review. Thanks Katie. Don't know about your area, yet we have snow now🙌 Hope your having a hot chocolate day.
@OneMusicSchool6 жыл бұрын
I do think that they all are an incredible value, and I can see where Enya had to sacrifice a few details in order to make the ukulele more affordable than the other models. I wish that my first ukulele was one of these, to me honest :). I'm glad that you liked hearing the opinions of my students. I want to make sure that I never have rose colored glasses on when I review. I see it as a huge responsibility. I have't even looked at the poll yet :). 89%? WOW!
@arc11056 жыл бұрын
@@OneMusicSchool yeah, 89% at the time I wrote my comment. I understand what you're saying about Enya making some sacrifices. I did the math and excluding all the extras, this uke is like $30 or less, so a brilliant first uke. I see what you're saying about rose colored glasses. I have noticed in your reviews you do tell it like it is. I can imagine the responsibility you have. There's so many reviews for each model and company of ukes that I've seen some reviews that just don't jive with, as you said, the "collective brain". I trust your judgement.

Hi Miss Katie! I love the ukulele cause it is so affordable! I have a question: what is the difference between the x1m and the x1? Are they the same in material? In overall which do you think is the best between the 3 ukuleles? Is the sopranino laminate? As always thank you so much for the unboxing! I enjoyed it!
@OneMusicSchool6 жыл бұрын
I'm so glad that you enjoyed it, and I hope it helped :). I would say the main differences between the X1M and the X1 are the gig bag, the head stock, and the tone. If you listen, one has a brighter tone than the other. The gig back on the X1 is excellent and feels like memory foam. The other gig back is nice and padded, but not like the X1. I hope that helps.

@@OneMusicSchool Hi Katie! Thank you for taking the time to respond. I am a fan and subscriber of your chanel. I love your vids! They're so helpful. So, thank you for that. I am wondering if, perhaps you might be able to assist me with contacting Enya, please.I have reached out twice and have not received a response. I have a debilitating allergy to nickel sulfate and had to give up the ukulele because of it. Evo gold frets are the best option for me. That said, it would be much easier and more cost effective, if the manufacturer could install these frets. Any chance you have an in with Enya, please? I would be forever grateful. I am dying to play! Thank you for your time and consideration. All the best!
@OneMusicSchool5 жыл бұрын
HI Michelle, I'm so sorry hear about your allergy. That's awful and I can't imagine what you're going through :(. I'll try and see if they respond. Have you contacted a local luthier that might be able to install different frets on one of our current ukes? Luthiers refret guitars all of the time, so that could be an option.
@michellezareas82765 жыл бұрын
@@OneMusicSchool Katie, thank you so much for your swift reply, as well as your willingness to assist. Yes, I have been conferring with a luthier and it turns out that the work is more complicated than one might imagine. I am learning a lot about the technical side of stringed instruments, to say the least! Lol. The main issues is the cost of replacing frets and labor runs between $150 and $400 depending on the circumstances. For example, whether or not the neck of the fret board is bound would push the price to the higher end of the spectrum. As I am sure you can see, this would be quite and investment for a beginner instrument. Enya’s M6 Blue Mahogany, electric, ukulele is a great price for a beautiful instrument. Enya’s website states that these are made to order, which means that upgrading to Evo gold frets shouldn’t be more than $33.00-$50.00 according to my research, if Enya is wiling to do the work. The caveat is, I also need to know what the finish material is, due to my allergies. I am seeking a polyurethane finish, as it is nickel free. High gloss would be best. That said, it must be a true polyurethane, as I have equally debilitating allergies to methylthiazolinone, and anything in similar families. An ingredients list would be the most helpful. This could be a long shot, however. I know, it’s a lot! Thank you so much for your time, it is greatly appreciated!
@OneMusicSchool5 жыл бұрын
Hi, I co tastes Enya and they said to contact them with this email. Email address, enyamusic1688@outlook.com I had a thought. Have you considered the Flight travel ukulele? It’s made of plastic and wood, but the tone is fantastic. It’s only $60 for most models, and I think that would be a great option for you to start and then see if you want to purchase a custom made uke.
