Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio I always felt that she has the range that her A lister contemporaries don't have. She can play her looks up or down. She can be quietly charismatic, or rough around the edges, or sugary sweet. She can even do action roles convincingly (something J-Law and Scarjo don't do well, in my opinion). That said, her career just doesn't match up with her talent. There was a period of time from 2012 to roughely 2017 where she did good stuff. Faults, Smashed, Fargo Season 3, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Swiss Army Man, The Spectacular Now, All About Madeline etc. but for the past five years or so she's been doing schlock. Mainstream schlock, but schlock all the same. Fargo should've been a segway into serious work. Perhaps the scandal affected that. Or maybe it's a terrible agent. Or maybe she just has bad judgement. Hard to say. Others who come to mind
