I posted this privately for some Tumblr friends, but after some thought, I decided it may fun to post it publicly. Here is my (FAN-MADE) alternate version of the last scene. Semi inspired by the Italian film “Cinema Paradiso.”

E.B No it shouldn’t. Blindspot always gets a happy ending. The fact that Jane dies and we don’t know what happened to the rest of the group is more interesting and makes you think. It’s less romantic and more realistic and cinematographic! My opinion :)

JV netto the producers didn’t actually say show that she died. They made it so everyone could make their own assumptions. I like to believe they faked her death since she was connected to so many conspiracies within the government but to each their own

Everybody has there own opinions, but mine is this: I like clear and precise, so the fact that the show ended in "a make it up as you want" bugs me, I (personally) hate that. I would rather them just have either killed her or not and not make it a mystery!

@@Therealdjdave I agree i had to watch it a second time to see it but I caught the same little trick at the end that she was just imagining based on what kurt said, but that look she gave reminded me of the look in the cathedral when she was hallucinating from the ZIP poisoning so I still will pick that she is alive rather than dying at the end regardless but they left a lot of unanswered questions with that ending imho

I guess creators wanted to use a plot loop thing when Jane comes out of the bag in the beginning and ends up in the bag at the end but also wanted to give us a happy ending. That's why there was that hallucination/imagination thing going on and actually you have to pick the one which you are more comfortable with. But for me that drone frame where there is a bag on an empty street is a little giveaway that this is an imagination rather than a real thing where someone should be around there doing something with it.

I'm still not over Reade getting killed. Forever living in denial. So there's no way I will believe Jane died in the end of the original. In my head they were just thinking how they were lucky things didn't end with her in a body bag. This the first series or picture I ever watched and loved ever single star. Missing it already. And omg Rich and Patterson movie. Hell yeah.

Não achei o final tão perfeito por causa da outra cena da Jane morrendo gerando dúvidas, os diretores deveriam ter sido mais diretos. Se excluíssem essa cena e deixassem só a do jantar seria o melhor final mesmo.

SHE LIVED Simple answer is : that she wasn't there when Rich and Patterson talked about that gold thing they wanna do , and her mind would only create hallucinations about what she already knows so she is definitely not hallucinating. But what I think the BEST logical answer is that if she died her brain would shut off Completely and can't create any hallucinations for her cuz she is already dead and not in a COMA (like what happened with Patterson in an earlier episode).. If she really died Kurt wouldn't leave her in a bag like that and she wouldn't be left alone dead in Times Square which makes it more of an imagination thing in her brain while having that dinner So basically she is ALIVE and trying to imagine what that other world would've been.

She didn't die for certain, the last scene of her dying on the Times Square can be just her imagination. Martin Gero left that open

If you didn't notice, the writer made the closure as the Bad/Good ending are both possible. But he never reveals which is the canonical ending

Me personally, I believe she still alive at the end, because ZIP poisoning doesn't kill quickly, and you start losing your senses first. Just like Jane lost her sight when she was almost dying.

I'm hoping another platform picks the story back up and continues the series for at least two or three more seasons NBC was just money hungry imho a lot of unanswered questions in the end even though you got to choose which ending you wanted to accept I want to know why she gave that face at the very end like she did in the cathedral with the ZIP making her hallucinate when kurt confronted her could be nothing could be something. Either way I'm hoping either another writer picks it back up and brings the original actors back that's gotta happen or hopefully another platform. The show was very popular with 10 million viewers i mean if supernatural can run 15 seasons surely they can!

That was just Jane ( inside her head) thinking how it could have ended after Weller's comment how it could have been so different. Weller asking if Jane was alright solidified that she's still alive after she says yeah... 🤞For Rich & Patterson spin off. Yeah! They brought ( Jane's daughter) Averey back!!!

@@DanielaEditsThings So fitting for this show... I choose to see Jane lived. Otherwise all that detail with everyone at the end was for nothing, because it wouldn't have played out that way if Jane died. Besides they all deserve some kind of happiness after all that.
