These are the only reactors I know who actually analyzed Charlie's lyric sheet. And it actually correlates with what Charlie ends up singing! I love it!
@CapitalMscenes Жыл бұрын
They’re also the only reactors (besides the guy on the left) who pretend to be triggered and disapprove of the show so they don’t come across as bad people for liking the show. Other reactors to this show just laugh and enjoy the stupidity and adult humor.
@BeatleScorpion1 Жыл бұрын
@@CapitalMscenes LOL They're not pretending, they just didn't care for this episode compared to the others. Surely, you've had some episodes in some seasons that you didn't like too, right? Besides, they've been laughing way more now than they were before (3x4 is a great example, and 3x10 too). So, really, there's no reason to be so mad every time they're not enthusiastic enough for your satisfaction.
@CapitalMscenes Жыл бұрын
@@BeatleScorpion1It’s not just about not liking an episode. You can tell they’re thinking that if they like something that might be offensive then people might try to come after them or “cancel” them or whatever so they’re erring on the side of caution and making sure people know “I do not like what they are saying and doing. This is bad behavior.” They are literally the only reactors to this show I’ve seen do this. The middle guy is constantly saying “I really don’t like Dennis” whenever he does something that would be offensive in real life. It’s just annoying because at this point how do they not realize the comedy is in how terrible these people are? We can agree to disagree but it’s pretty obvious to me they’re afraid to laugh at the more offensive style jokes but they just come across as uptight and honestly like they are pretending to be offended so people don’t get mad at them.
@BeatleScorpion1 Жыл бұрын
@Hansnoles Look, I get it, it's rough to see reactors not be as enthusiastic about something you like as you are. But when you guys insult them and make up crazy conspiracy theories like, "They're afraid to laugh and pretending to be offended so people won't be mad at them," that's where you guys lose me. They can just not care for a certain aspect of the show, with no sort of ulterior motives involved. Stop seeing and inventing sinister things where there really aren't any. Calvin says he doesn't like Dennis, so that's why in future reactions, he enjoys it when Dennis gets comeuppance, like when Dee makes him up to be a sex offender or when he gets pepper sprayed by the Waitress. You said yourself that the comedy is in how terrible these people are and them getting karma. And that's exactly what Calvin's starting to do with Dennis. And again, the ratio of disapproval to approval is clearly starting to shift from Season 1, and the fact that you guys keep zeroing in on these episodes and ignore the ones where they actually do laugh just makes it seem like bad faith on your behalf.

It’s not that. In order to not laugh at a joke one would have to not only see something wrong with it (because there’s plenty of that in the show at which they laugh) but also believe that the “group” being mocked needs your defense. See, an open bigot believes certain groups are lesser, and they accept it. Most ordinary people also believe certain groups are lesser, but they reject it. Fundamentally, both accept the same premise - that one group is worth less than another. One accepts it and flaunts it like an ass, the other rejects it and represses himself. They are the latter. This should not be mistaken as a dig at them. They’re great guys, I’ve been watching them for years and will continue to do so. However, I feel I have to point it out because most people are in this state and they miss it their entire lives.

So an interpretation of the Dayman song, later given a little credence in some of the episodes is that Dayman is Mac. Charlie has had a pretty dark life and Mac being very clearly one of his only friends as a kid (and his best friend in some episodes) and Mac's wannabe badass persona makes him a "Master of Karate" Purposeful? No clue, but it is kinda nice.

Calvin: "I want them to make a good decision. I don't care if it works out, in fact it's funnier if it doesn't." I feel like that's kinda what happened with Dayman. They worked together to make an actually cool song (in my opinion). No evil plot, no ulterior motive (unless you count wanting to get famous, but that's pretty normal and harmless). Unfortunately it was just the wrong crowd and the song didn't land.
