Not only have those three seasons flown by, but the show has been on so many polls over so many years with so many people talking about how great it is in the comment sections. I remember this one airing and those first minutes going, "Holy shit! Did they just kill Angela? Oh fuck..." I know, last season and all, but to do that and have it not be an offscreen event either (and that sneaky blink and you miss it frame of her) I still think was a gutsy move. And we just stick with the camera as Price has to walk away, knowing he can't save her, forced to wear a wire and having tried to get her to just walk away from it all and she wouldn't. Not exactly what I wanted for Angela, but damn what a show.

This season just feels so confident and streamlined and I really think Angela's death plays an important part in that. Like Sam Esmail and his team have perfectly applied everything they learned over the show.

From what I remember hearing, Angela was planned to be killed off this season, but they originally werent gonna kill her off right at the premiere. There was apparently some studio/production dispute so she basically “quit”/got “fired”, and they basically brought her back to reshoot this scene for her death (and some other quick appearances of the actress you’ll get to later)

i'm pretty sure i read an interview years ago where the actress stated she wanted to leave the show after series 3... i don't remember if she ever gave an official explanation the most recurring rumours on reddit was that she left for personal reasons, possibly linked to her breakup with rami malek but as i said they are rumours; apparently she also went to college

The first 10 episodes of season four are all named after 400-series web errors, and each episode is written so that a major plot point parallels that error response. So 401 Unauthorized is when a client attempts to access a resource without credentials (no authorization). In the episode, Price is ordered to kill Elliott, but brings him back to life, against his orders (no authorization).

S4 is a very experimental season. They try a lot of different things like the silent epiosde and bottle episode. It's incredible to watch. Season 3 is still the best though!
