I think there are two options for the title asterisk. Either they reveal the real title at the end (whether Dark Avengers or otherwise) or the asterick is just a joke about the fact they can't agree on a team name and after they finally reluctantly agree on Thunderbolts the final title card removes the asterisk.

@@josesanches2405 yeah, they dont fit 'dark avengers'. I would love to see that mantle appear only when Norman Osborn overtakes Avengers and replaces main team with bad guys. For that to happen we need actual avengers first.

Funny enough, you guys HAVE met Hydra Bob already. Hydra Bob is a friend of Deadpool in the comics. Not in the MCU yet, technically. But in the very first Deadpool movie, during the final fight scene, DP takes out a bunch of goons. One of them he stops right before the kill-strike and goes... "Bob?!? I haven't seen you since that thing in Jacksonville!" and then knocks him out instead of killing him. That was Hydra Bob.

I mean, I was also under the assumption that it's Hydra Bob. The most recognisable "Bob" I can think of right now in marvel. But the bullet holes in his clothes make me think this Bob has actual powers. While Bob as I know him is basically just some dude, like Arthur from The Tick. 😅

HYDRA Bob was in Deadpool 1 - He was the mercenary working for Francis who was Deadpool's old buddy from Jacksonville. Deadpool and HYDRA Bob are buddies. Bob is kinda Deadpool's sidekick when Deadpool isn't Cable's sidekick. lol

Kinda wish people would stop saying “this is this btw” as if it’s all such common knowledge and not essentially a spoiler. We don’t all have comic knowledge or look up all the news online and are quite happy to go into movies not knowing everything and can let the movies tell us. I’m sure everyone is right and I don’t know enough that even seeing these comments doesn’t mean much to me, and obviously I’m in control to an extent of what I consume. But I like watching these guys because they seem to have similar knowledge to me and try to avoid everything. If people could not just outright tell them stuff that hasn’t been specifically said to their face by the film or show already I’m sure they’d appreciate it. It’s also these types of assertions that get people expecting certain things before a movie and then getting pissed off when it doesn’t go exactly as they imagined 😅 but that’s a whole new kettle of fish.

What's kind of funny is that when they reveal who Bob is, it's more than likely they still won't know who he is and will look him up afterwards. Also we kind of already got a hint of who he is in the last trailer, but again they didn't know what to look for. Its not a bad thing know who he his beforehand since a lot of these Marvel movies don't follow the comics closely.

It's called the Thunderbolts* and is an all Yellow Marvel Studios for one good reason. Bob is Sentry. So Thunderbolts just has the feel of fake movie name to throw off the Hollywood Reporters from dropping some spoilers. I have a feeling Sentry is gonna become quite important to the Dr. Doom Secret Wars.
