I use left over banana bread to make waffles. Just put the slices in a waffle maker. Gets nice and crispy so good.

@@LunarNightLights The hole that is already in the wall is bigger than what a drywall anchor would make. She also knows how to patch the hole that is already there properly, and it is the same process to patch a drywall anchor hole. They are made to hold heavier items up without making the kind of hole a nail does.

Buttermilk has a higher fat content than milk so if you add about 1 tbsp oil it can help. Also shake or stir your raising agents (and check expiry date) if it has been sitting for a while, it can settle. I wonder if you currently have high humidity it can affect rising on cakes and make command hooks loosen.

For great banana bread my mother always just finds a recipe online that uses sour cream in it. Always super moist and she coats the loaf pan with cinnamon and sugar and it’s a great touch to the bread if you like sweet

It's possible that dust is the reason your command strips aren't working. I rent too and I know drywall anchors aren't always ideal but if you putty it like you said, except when you move instead. Then color match your paint it shouldn't matter too much. I know it sounds like a lot of work, but that's how I've always gotten away with my art hanging.

I use "no trace" drywall hooks in my house to hang things up. There quite easy to install, you just need a hammer.
