Darling girl, you have no idea how inspiring your generous UTube videos are to me. I thank you for your sincerity and wish you every blessing for sharing your talents. I’ve been through several major surgeries and have lost my mojo!! But, I can’t wait to put that paint that’s staring at me on the paper!! I look forward to each and every video you produce and move into a space without pain. You are so generous, thanks again and keep safe and well 😊

Thanks so much Chris for your kind words. Please take care of yourself, that’s the most important, now’s a great time to just watch lots of tutorials and when you can finally paint you will…maybe just do some sketch work as you lay around recovering, that might help a little too. Be bless.

I am so grateful to have stumbled onto your painting videos Debra, it's a life changer for me. I have always wanted to do loose watercolor flowers and am so grateful to watch and listen to all your advice and see how you go about it.

I don't know if you have noticed but you have a beautiful heart in one of the pink flower heads. Look in the 5th one from the right. You have a stem painted right under it. Lovely happy accident!

Thank you so much 😀 I’m so happy you enjoy the paintings, painting loose is very freeing and fun, and to work intuitively is even better. I hate getting hung up on “what should I paint next”. And following a photo isn’t fun for me either. Thanks for tuning in!!

You know you are one of my top favorite teachers of all time and I love this experiment! But I have nightmares about these tiny plastic beads. If they end up in wastewater, they are too small to be filtered out and they do get into the watershed, creeks, rivers and ocean. People need to be super responsible about using them. Of course I highly doubt that the nail salons consider this point of view. Much love. Thank you for the wonderful lesson. I just checked the store and the beads are described as GLASS! Seems like a better material for these! 😂

Hi Debra Lyn, Still just watching and working on my confidence to start with one of your lovely ideas. I am from South Africa, but understand that I can buy most of my requirements through Amazon, which is great. I'm not too sure how to start putting together a (basic) watercolor kit. Are those colors you work from your own choices, or can I get something similar and then just gradually add. (I would like to paint flowers) I also need advice on some brushes I will need please. Thank you so very much for the joy and inspiration I receive from watching your videos!

I absolutely love your videos. I have been inspired by you and your beautiful art. I would love to purchase a big chunky brush like the one you use here. I’ve seen you use it in other paintings I believe you call it a quill. Where can I get one?

What an awesome video! I really love the painting and I am one of those artists that adores adding the unusual for keeping things interesting! I have never heard of adding micro-beads but can't wait to try it. I have one question; are the beads shiny or lustrous? I can't quite tell from the video what kind of finish you end up with. I have subscribed to you channel and look forward to many more of your tutorials! Take care.
@debralynrosenbachart Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much, yes the beads have some luster to them. Thanks for subscribing!!!

I am nearing getting close to being organized after a move so I am looking forward to trying your large loose painting. I had the opportunity to get a couple dozen sheets of bockingford cp 140# wc paper from hobby lobby on clearance so I won’t be hesitant to play. Have you tried to do a light wash of color first on background leaving some white then letting that dry and then doing stems and flowers on top? Tfs
@debralynrosenbachart2 жыл бұрын
No, i don’t do washes before. The bockingford wont’ handle a lot of water, your best bet is to use 100% cotton.

Hi Debra. I love your artwork. Question on the fixative; have you noticed any color shift? When I used that fixative on a soft pastel painting I did experience the dreaded color shift.
@debralynrosenbachart Жыл бұрын
No color shift with watercolor. I know what you mean with pastels…I’ve thrown out pastels paintings in the past after spraying with fixative…its not that way with watercolor, at least with the brands I’ve uses.

Thank you for another beautiful painting. I love to watch you work and was fascinated by the use of the microbeads with the mod podge. I wonder if microbeads in perhaps a clear color could be used to show tiny droplets of water or if there’s another technique that you use? I’m a beginner and I must confess that watching your videos is keeping me up at night! Thank you.
@debralynrosenbachart2 жыл бұрын
Ooops, sorry to keep you up! 😆 yeah, I’m sure they could be used in that way, there are larger glass beads out there too. The sky’s the limit when it comes to art, never box yourself in! Thanks so much for tuning in!!!

Hi Debra beautiful painting. What kind of paper do you use, exactly? It holfs the water really well
